I’m not so sure you’re wrong. Haven’t watched Manson play enough to debate that. |

Not sure the Leafs would with Johnsson on the shelf, maybe for the season, and Mikheyev very likely out also. Secondary scoring has already been a problem. I think Kapanen is staying. Besides, he is stlll one of the few forwards we have that hits sometimes.

Considering Kapanen is 6th in goals on the Leafs, they could afford to let him go if it brings in a guy like Manson. Big RHD who hits and makes 4ish for the next 2 years would be a steal. Doubt Anaheim is that dumb.
And I say this with Kapanen being the best out of Kerfoot and Johnsson. But if somebody is going to overpay, you kind of have to let them.
With Muzzin signing his extension on March 1st at 4 years (good length) and hopefully at 5 AAV or less (max he's worth), that'd be a pretty alright 2nd pairing for the cost.
The problem still lies with fixing the top pairing and giving Rielly somebody to play with. Luckily, they still have Nylander and Kerfoot or Johnsson to use as bait to make that happen. |

Campbell and Andersen's career save percentage are both .917. - The Shrike
Difference being Andersen has faced the most shots the past 4 years and played the 4th most games.
But it's good to finally have a back-up who can be relied upon. Wonder who said they needed that the past 3 years?
Hopefully Campbell becomes a Halak type back-up who can play 30-35 games and give you the same quality goaltending the Leafs need to win games but also give Andersen a well deserved break and keep him fresh for the playoffs.
Not a big fan of Keefe but it's so nice to see the back-up playing the 1st game against the pooptier team. Then again, Babcock never had the benefit of having a solid back-up to throw out there the 1st night either. As always, 50% the fault of the coach and 50% fault of the GM for waiting this long to fix an obvious problem. |

Manson trade would mean a walk from Barrie at the end of the year. Top 2 pairings would be Rielly-Manson, Muzzin Holl. Imo.. |

Good riddance. Rather trade Barrie at the deadline and get our assets back and maybe use that asset in a larger package to bring in a real top pair RHD.
Manson is better as a 2nd pair D and Holl is a 3rd pair D. |

If all goes as planned our second pairing could very well be Sandin-Lily. If Muzzin signs I think it would be hard to fit a true #2 defenseman under the cap. |

Robertson scored 2 tonight. 44 in 39 - Steven_Seagull
Scoring regular season goals only mattered until he started scoring at a historic pace. Now it means nothing and he's to small. Will never make it and a waste of a second round pick. |

Nylander + Kerfoot or Johnsson + Dermott = 11 million in cap space.

Why not? His value is as high as ever. Absolute best time to trade him might be right now. |
