Was 1-0 Wild..

Then the Caps got 2 in 30 seconds to make it 3-1 Caps

Wild got 1 back though.

I almost put $50 on the Flyers to win the cup in the summer for the hell of it. I don’t even want to know what that would’ve ended up paying now.

I have $100 on them at 40/1

Very impressed with flyers this weekend.

We’ll be there in due time, and this rivalry will be renewed

It’ll be nice to see AV take them far, as I cannot look at Pitt or Wash win any longer lol

- Slimtj100

All in good fun back and forth. For the most part everyone was civil.

How many games, give or take, would you give him before making a switch?
- jmatchett383

If he keeps taking dumb lazy penalties it won't be long till he sees the pressbox hopefully.

I just want everyone not named the Flyers that is in playoff position or close to it to lose.

Sean Couturier’s shifts/minutes by period today at the Rangers:
1st - 8 shifts, 6:57, flyers 3-0
2nd - 8 shifts, 6:59, flyers 2-1
3rd - 10 shifts, 4:48, nyr, 2-0

Not bad for being under the weather (and not bad for being less important to the team than #93).

Or if they play a lighter, faster team, maybe Farabee back in. Caps are heavy

Agreed! I see a lot of issues with the caps and I think the Flyers are the team that have their number. Could be wrong but we play well against them.

Can't yo-yo the kid. He's either in the lineup every day or with the Phantoms.

To be fair, we shouldn’t just look at yesterday’s game to judge his play. There were 11 penalties. The refs were calling a lot of close ones, and seemed to be calling make up calls. At least it was somewhat fair to both teams.

I'm judging him over his last 3 games. I know he's a veteran, big body, etc. but I don't see much that he brings to the lineup that we couldn't have bu putting Grant at 4C and putting Farabee back in the bottom-6.

Just my limited sample-based observations and opinion.

I think and hope AV and Fletch will get to this, they are trying out the fit with Grant and Thompson now, and Farabee should benefit from some time in the AHL to get his strength back from his illness (10 lb weight loss!) and get confidence in his game back. But I agree with you, they are a better team with a healthy Farabee in the line up over NT.

Last week I joked that I was getting ahead of myself and that it seemed unrealistic to win the metro, now all of sudden it's very possible

i thought maybe the 3 spot could be caught, but definitely didn't think we'd be catching the penguins or capitals. it's crazy how every team around the flyers started losing at the same time. basically the whole metro.

I'm not being pessimistic, but they've been on a hot streak and winning a few games where they didn't play at the top of their game. They're bound to lose multiple games (hopefully only 2) at some point and other teams will rebound. So while it's possible, I still don't think they're the favorite right now compared to Washington and Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh may have been too aggressive at the trade deadline. They are incorporating what 4 or 5 new players in the lineup? That is tough to do on the fly where you are playing every other day. The Caps are a good team, not great. Certainly beatable. The Lightning losing Stamkos is a huge blow to them. And no one takes the Bruins seriously. It's there for the taking for the Flyers.

I view it as a move to benefit both the team and development. Having the flu didn’t help him. Let him continue to play and play more minutes while working on the details and gain that confidence back. Team has been rolling. Give Thompson time to adjust to his partners and the system. I would rather a little hiccup now as opposed to Thompson not playing then getting thrown in during the playoffs due to a rook getting pulled out.

Team was also rolling with Farabee and Bunnaman before the TDL.
