Flyers have themselves in a great spot but they need to continue to win. They control their destiny but a decent losing streak could have them battling again.

Bunnaman is better for that line.

Think they need to go back to Farabee or bun instead of Thomson ? What do you think Bill?

Great b2b wins. Like the PP is going but the PK could use some work. Like you said, Hart had no chance in the last 2. Team is playing with a lot of confidence.

But man, Thompson has not looked good. I can understand a game plus to get acclimated, but he just does not look good out there.

One hell of a surprising year. It’s reminiscent of the 07-08 team

Its a nice change to be saying “is it the playoffs yet?” in March and not “is it the draft yet.”

Team has not looked this good since the Lavi days.

They made it annoying at the end. A 6-1 finish (topped with a Hayes goal) would have shut the Rags fans down until post draft.

Gotta remember to bring it all 60. They pulled their usual first 10 BS in the third.

I’ll give it to this team, they took their 3 “mini series” against FLA, CLU, and NYR and OWNED it.

Like so many games where teams get up by a huge margin the Flyers stepped off the gas a bit in the third and the Rangers elevated their play. I don't think one was more responsible for the outcome in the third then the other but rather a combo of both enabled the Rangers to score two goals.

Regardless of any of that the Flyers didn't have a great ES game and their PK came up a bit short in the third. One game doesnt indicate a trend to me so I would expect they will be back to a shot limiting team on Wed.

Overall , as a Flyers fan, its really hard to be unhappy with much about this team right now. If the Caps lose tonight then Wed is for first in the division. As of right now they have the sixth most points in the league let alone anything at the conf\division level.

It's a fun time to be a fan of this team!

Agree Thompson looks shaky but give him a few games. He might be needed in the playoffs. Would much rather him learn the system now and not in elimination games. Bunny and farabee will be back.

Games like this happen. That they were able to win the game on skill plays while not having their A game is a sign of an improved team. In the past when not having their A game at ES, they'd would lose games. No team can have their best level of play in every game.

How many games, give or take, would you give him before making a switch?

Depends on situation. Flyers are winning so they can afford to give him time. If we were losing games, there would be more urgency to make a change. Flyers will likely ride it out
