When do the newly acquired players get acclimated then. Understand the argument but we traded for more veteran players that can be plugged in while still developing your youth. - Peter Richards
They can get acclimated to the system through practice and video, although it's not the same as game play. Again, if they want Farabee getting back in shape in the AHL, I get that. But I don't think anyone on the roster should be free from being scratched if he's playing poorly simply because the team has been winning.
As I said, AV already made 2 lineup changes when the team was on a 3-game winning streak, so he's shown a willingness to do so before. |

Im not sure how given their current record and recent play that they couldn't be looked at as a team in that group.
Of course lose 3-4 games in a row and that all changes. - opeth_pa
I personally don't view the Flyers as a legit contender yet but I'm also at the point of let's get the playoffs started and see what happens.

Right. He iced the best team in his opinion. And what chuck gave him to be cap compliant. |

Fair enough..
IMO the legit contenders are Boston, St. Louis and Tampa.
I put the Flyers in that next group but what is most exciting to me is that with how they are playing now I think they could give those teams a run at least in a series. |

The playoffs are a funny thing. Injuries can really hurt a team. Goaltenders can be hot and cold. Who thought TB would be swept by Columbus last year?
That being said regardless of what happens this playoff season with the Flyers, the future is bright. If they can make a run, great. Enjoy the crap out of it. If not then take as a growing experience. I personally think they are building something special here and as more young player are added and get better, the team will take the next step. |

Mid game AV said it was just execution lol - ClaudeFather
No. It was just our coaching staff knowing nothing about their roster. Honestly, we would probably be number one in the league if this adjustment was made, umm...April of 2019. |

I swear some of you people are bipolar.
"Egg on their face" guy spent the entire trade deadline day female doging about how the Flyers didn't do enough and every other team in the division added significant pieces but now he's saying how Pittsburgh may have been to aggressive?
What?

My take on successes is that the Flyers have elevated stick precision and speed.
They tend to win the battles and then they are off to the races. A bit better on the finishes and they just don't lose.
Milbury's disintegration was sweet. Jonesy informing him he knew NOTHING, twice, was mortifying and complete. Thank you, Keith.
His knowledge of the team should have caused Milbutt to pause. Instead he charged ahead with his hubris and charmless expostions. How does he keep his contract?
I've also noticed that Vorachek is not killing plays (as often) with optimistic passes. While he may be an assist dynamo, when I watch him carefully it seems that he needs good fortune too often. A little delay and resighting the players available and the defense alignments would be beneficial. Otherwise retain the puck. He is a maven when it comes to holding onto the rubber.
Last, I do love me some Coots.
He keeps the game honest and parlays that into being a consistent stopper and scorer. Throw in his efficacy on FOs, and how much more can you ask? He both carries a big stick and stirs the pot with it. - Pompous
Milbury saying Voracek is the most important Flyer may the most clueless thing ever said on television. I don't know Jake is in the top 5. Couturier, Hart, Provorov, Giroux clearly more important. The fact Milbury has a media job after being one of the most incompetent GM's in the sport is mind boggling. Not to mention the transgressions he's had. How does JR get fired for making harmless comments, and Milbury has a job after he physically put his hands on a young kid a few years ago? |

Yup..Agreed with pretty much everything you are saying here.
The main thing I know for sure is that this team is actually fun to watch in the current state and on paper should be even more exciting as players like Frost + Farabee , most likely NoPa and hopefully someday OL continue to grow. |

That was so great. I was half expecting Milbury to take his shoe off and start beating Jones over the head. |

For me, when I found out Coots may not play I automatically thought, oh crap winning just got much mre difficult today.
I wouldn't feel the same way of Voracek was out.
I am amazed Voracek only has been Credited with 16 hits all season. That almost doesn't seem possible.

I haven't heard from this nutcase in a while. I wonder why.

-Chuck Fletcher who did absolutely nothing in many, many years in Minnesota.
-Therrien and Yeo.
-Gudas for Niskanen
-Overpaying and undervaluing picks to chase a declining and one dimensional Braun.
-Chasing to potentially overpay more mediocrity in Hayes
It’s amazing. We should have truly expected no better after Hextall was fired.

Couturier is definitely our most important player but in my opinion that top pair of ours is huge too. Anyone else remember that two or three year gap between Timonen leaving and Provorov arriving? What a nightmare for this franchise to not have a number one defenseman. Provorov, instant game changer. |

The metro is tough already and on paper other teams improved. What that does to chemistry will be interesting to watch. Don’t know who you’re referring to just how I read it all. I am glad we didn’t get into a bidding war as this was more of a sellers market. The team was doing well so they get a couple pieces to help with the run. They are not at the point to get that one guy to try to go over the top. |
