So we can say that Laine gets about 25% of his scoring away from Scheifele probably, although I'm not into all these advances stats like who played with who when the Earth gained a new Moon in 2020 (this actually happened) and how he gripped his stick while passing or shooting. - BeadyEyedDouche
Less, he's got at least 83% with Scheifele, including PP. 2 points unaccounted for on Dobber. I only wish other sites had as good a backend as Dobber. They take (frank)ing forever to load. Natural Stat Trick is probably the best of them and it's clunky as hell on top of being slow. |

First of all here's what I said
I left the door open for you if you wanted argue for Larry at 3C. Never said you did.
I did assume that because Larsson is the 3C or perhaps the 2C right now, and you constantly rave about him excelling in his role, logically I thought you'd be happy with him at his current 3C role
And your logic does not track with the trend of decreased shots due to the system Krueger implemented. If Skinner is taking more shots, Eichel will be taking fewer.

You’re normally a pretty smart guy so I don’t want to be rude about your idiotic idea about the covid19 virus being “media hysteria” but I can’t help myself.
A century ago there was something known as the Spanish flu. It had a mortality rate of 1.7% and an infection rate similar to what scientists think this current virus has. The mortality rate of this Coronavirus is thought to be 2% or higher.
30 million people died worldwide from that virus.
What’s the difference between then and now? To start there are about five times as many people alive today. Then 1.7 billion, now 7.6 billion.
Along with the sheer number of people, the way we live has changed. 100 years ago the most common profession was being a farmer. Nowadays we work in close proximity with each other, sharing facilities like bathrooms, elevators, restaurants, fast food restaurants, shopping centers, movie theaters, convenience stores and much more. People are in much closer proximity to each other now than they were then.
Yes we have better medical treatment and better sanitation practices than we did back then, but washing your hands won’t help you from breathing in air droplets from the person who coughed or sneezed ten minutes ago in the air you are breathing.
There will not be a vaccine for at least a year, and there’s not much doctors can do for you against a virus.
So you can spout off on your “media hysteria” all you like, but it really is plain stupid. This virus is serious. It’s just getting started and the numbers will get very bad very quickly.
There was 24 hour a day coverage of 911 after it happened for months with less than 3000 people dying from the attacks. There’s already more than 3000 deaths from this virus and it’s in its infancy.
So, before you make such a dim witted statement about something you obviously haven’t put any thought into, think about the fact that millions of Americans are on immunosuppressants. Think about the fact that an estimated 20-50 million Americans have autoimmune disorders. Think about the fact that although most people will get through this fine, there are many who won’t. Those people at risk want to hear everything the media has to say about this.
You’re supposed to be one of the smart ones here! Smh - Beethoven
And yet people think you and I are the same person |

Id understand spreading out the scoring if they actually had talent to put with Skinner. But the coach hates him so I don’t even buy he wants to spread out scoring. - sbroads24
I understand the concept,
and I’m generally all for it
But in this case it just wasn’t working
And while I’m not a “fire Ralph” type of guy,
it’s curious at best why he hasn’t made any changes involving Skinner this year
At the very least,
either Sam should’ve been moved down to line2 with him
Or Skinner should’ve been bumped back up to line1
I don’t see any legitimate reason to have kept Skinner in this situation all season
Some kind of resolution needs to come about with whatever is going on between Ralph & him |

Victor Olofsson (lower body) expects to play on Tuesday night.
"I felt good yesterday on the day off, felt like I was able to practice today and felt good on the ice," Olofsson said. "I'm good to go. It happens once in a while. It's just you have to be a little bit more cautious. We didn't want to force anything." He was back alongside Jack Eichel and Sam Reinhart during Monday's practice. It didn't look good when Olofsson left the ice on Saturday, but he will surprisingly be available to play against Winnipeg on Tuesday night - SABRES 89
From my own experience playing hockey, the way he favored his leg and the reaction on his face, I'm positive he was dealing with intense calf-cramps. Used to happen to me all the time toward the end of games, my calves would just seize up on me and I would have to hold my leg in one position to work the cramp out.
It's why you see guys eating mustard packets on the bench sometimes, it has compounds in it that reduce, releive and prevent cramping.
Those calf cramps are a son of a gun. |

Well hopefully Botts can get us some help next season
I like the young talent we have coming,
but it’s impossible to say when they’ll be ready to produce at this level
Sooner than later i hope |

I never got cramps and I would sometimes play two games a day, my travel league and HS so I'm not sure how one feels. Maybe I drank enough water or something but I don't remember doing it consciously. |

I think every line and pretty much every player can improve on this 24th ranked team.
Except eichel, and maybe the log line.
They have exceeded expectations. |

and a good nights sleep

1) Pray to the lotto Gods
2) Trade Risto for a forward of any kind at this point.
3) Find a goalie to split time with Ullmark that isn’t Hutton.
4) Sign a Center in FA (Haula/Koivu/Brassard) - Pegullaville
They can also trade for say Bonino and/or Strome. |

Imo,
gives the kind of effort & plays the game in a way that would be beneficial for the kids on this team to see first hand, day in & day out
He’d be a great addition imo |

We had an H1N1 pandemic in 2009, the same strain as the Spanish Flu, it did not kill 30 million people. They were still doing surgery with ether in 1918. TB was the third leading cause of death in 1920. Measles and syphilis combined killed two and a half times more people than all homicides. The Spanish Flu also killed healthy young adults, unlike pretty much all flus.
I've seen estimates that the actual mortality rate for Covid-19 is ~.05%(a bad year for the flu) because of all the people that aren't counted for various reasons. They stopped counting clinical diagnoses too after a short period of being counted, so they only count the lab tested ones. Plus China and Iran aren't exactly known for transparency, and since epidemiology is just math they can extrapolate the real numbers.
Having said that, it spreads 3x faster than the flu. It has the capacity to be crippling. Quarantines have already disrupted the worldwide economy, today's "rally" notwithstanding. And it will probably kill a fair few people before it burns itself out. The economic impact will be much greater. poop's going to hit the fan with all the shuttered factories; there's already a stick shortage for hockey players not using Warrior, I think? their factory is in Mexico, Tesla tanked after they announced they were delaying deliveries in China. |

Hmmmmm
Mikhail Grigorenko, C, 25 (KHL)
Is it time for another crack at the NHL? Grigorenko, who was selected 12th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 2012, struggled to establish himself during a five-year NHL stint and landed back home in 2017-18 with CSKA Moscow. Since then, Grigorenko’s 116 points are the 13th-most in the KHL and only scoring-whiz Kirill Kaprizov has more points for CSKA (153). Without Grigorenko, CSKA would have had a tough time winning the KHL championship a season ago and Russia has benefited from his play internationally. Overall, he’s a much more mature, complete player than the one we saw during his NHL tenure. Grigorenko has value as a playmaker, but can he survive in a middle-six role again? |

You think it would take the Sabres 2020 1st round pick to get either Strome or Bonino?
That's an easy hell no, but I don't believe it would take that much for either of those players.
From what I've read, Strome has fallen a bit of favor in Chicago. |

Interesting stuff the second half.
Sunmary:
- Offseason FA center targets are Haula and Granlund
- Ristolainen was part of the Josh Anderson and Trocheck deals that didn't work out
- Columbus wanted Buffalo to take back Riley Nash to even out the cap a bit
- There were more parts to each of the deals above that didn't work out
- Both Detroit and Vegas had and have interest in Ristolainen |

Apparently, he had an offer for Trochek that was better than Carolina's but Florida didn't want to trade him in-division, and he also tried to get Henrique from Anaheim and Johnson from Tampa.
I like the Simmonds trade on an island because he was a FA target for us this summer. If he likes it here and signs to a reasonable contract, I already love him and Skinner together. Get them a center and it will be a fun line. - BeadyEyedDouche
Nope nope nope. Be happy that Simmonds is a UFA after this season, as you will not want him. Watched enough to know that they guy is nothing but a net presence now. He stopped fighting/hitting, and has terrible passing/vision. He is only useful in front of the net and will get 15 goals, and 10 assists per season from her on out.
As for Henrique, if the rumors are true, you dodged a terrible contract. Johnson has dipped in production, but I could see him being a good fit. |
