Yet Botts is doing the same thing Kevin is doing. Missing the playoffs constantly and drafting high.
Jets fans wanted him turfed just like we want Botts turfed. - Pegullaville

There's little doubt in my mind that Ehrhoff mailed it in once he was bought out. The guy is getting paid over $850k for the next 8 years to not show up to work for the Buffalo Sabres. |

Brierre Drury
a freaking playoff team.
During his years as GM, the Sabres drafted and developed such players as Maxim Afinogenov, Henrik Tallinder, Aleš Kotalík, Ryan Miller, Paul Gaustad, Derek Roy, Jason Pominville and Thomas Vanek. Regier also made important acquisitions, trading for Chris Drury, Tim Connolly, Daniel Brière and Jean-Pierre Dumont while maintaining a strict budget. - hubie
Didn't he resign from his job as AGM in Arizona or wherever he was because of health reasons? |

His drafting was amazing. Yzerman's rebuild in detroit will be one to watch closely. Will be a good case of drafting is luck vs drafting is skill.
We have a guy who nailed tons of picks in a new job. If he does it again then the "drafting is luck" crowd has to quiet down a bit. |

He was overpaid and did a good job. He had playoff experience and a decent shot.
I would have liked to see him score more.

It's like a "stern" camp counselor. He wants to be your friend, but also acts tough sometimes. |

You know what's funny, Carolina was able to pull off 3 significant trades at the TDL for 2C, and 2 top 4 Dmen....in a single day.
Stop making excuses for Botts, he is what he is. |

Really how? he scored 27 goals and a already very good Jackets team. We gave Skinner 72 mill thinking he was the answer and could " help", how did all that work out even with no 2nd line center. Anderson is a younger version of Girgensons, we need impact players not more average players. Josh Anderson is not worth Risto. - SABRES 89
Josh Anderson is a really good hockey player.
He would absolutely help this team if he's healthy next season.
He arguably is better than 9 or 10 of our forwards.
Girgensons is not a comparable. Anderson had 27 goals last year. |

his drafting outside of the 1st round. he found some gems later on but tended to be Meh or terrible in the first round... besides Vanek |

trade for Anderson, sign him a 3 year bridge deal and watch him get 12 goals a season and girgens goes to blue jackets and gets 15 goals a season
