He has traded away draft picks for veteran players, traded veteran players for draft picks, played guys in the NHL right away, sent guys back to the minors without giving them a shot to take a roster spot, said we have to change over the roster and then not done it, laughed that anyone would fire Housley and then fired Housley, said they want to see if Reinhart can drive his own line and then never played him apart from Eichel, traded players like OReilly just because they said they weren't having fun and asked for a trade, but then didn't trade Risto for saying the exact same thing, trade some UFA's when he is out of it for assets but then not others and sometimes buys and sells at the same time, etc.

It's impossible to understand what he is trying to do. He makes little tweaks like he is a division winning team, lateral little side moves that might make you 1% better. I've no idea what his plan for getting from the bottom 7 of the NHL to the top 7 is, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any idea either.

a lot of what Botts has done seems to lead to this summer... we shall see. i am skeptical as should everyone be at this point. outside of skinner none of his offensive acquisitions have done anything of value. he has hired two inexperienced coaches.

I think that's what is going to happen. Pegula probably isn't planning on firing Botts, but if they finish in a tailspin like it's looking they will with Eichel struggling and the team demoralized...let's just say Botts better have a really good 1 year plan to turn it around.

Pegula is a proud guy and he is taking a beating to his image, and he's also proved with both organizations he's not afraid to can failures.

Target and acquire a Frolik replacement in FA and then head to the cottage for some R&R

I will give them credit as being dishonest not incompetent. There is no way anyone who knows this sport thought this team was a playoff team. Their numbers for the previous year were soooo bad, and they changed almost no one. Pretty sure 2020/2021 is when they plan to try.

I did with a caveat. The wildcards/unknowns were Olofsson, Mittelstadt and Tage Thompson. If all three of them had big years, this team would be a playoff team. If not, this team was not going to be good. As it turned out, only one of them did.
