Next step is figuring out where you get room to acquire:
2C
2RW, 3RW, 3C depending on where you see Kahun and Cozens fit
1G or 2G depending on where you slot Ullmark
2LHD, or not depending on what you view McCabe and Pilut
1RhD, IMO they don't have one, but have probably 3 of 2RhD's in Risto, Montiur, Joker

So, the opportunity to secure those positions depends on sorting out which 2RhD to retain and who to sell

Looking at Calgary and having recently done them a favor by taking Frolik's cap hit, wonder if they would be a good trade partner.
They have 3 centers, Monahan, Backlund and Lindholm signed for 4, 5 and 5 years respectively, but have no true RW. With Reinhart being from the BC area, wonder if they would consider trading either Monahan or Lindholm for Sam? I would think that it would be a good hockey trade for both teams and don't think much would have to be added either way.

Edit: I should have added that they also have Derek Ryan and Jankowski who play center as well

Monahan would cost way more than Reinhart alone. We would have to add big. He’s a #1 Center. Sam would bring a good #3 Center in alone.

Its a hard pass on Duchene for me, we complain about skinners contract and Duchene has 12 goals and 40 points making 8 mil...

if it were me I would target Kadri, Rakell, RNH

additionally, I would not mind if we could get Malkin out of Pitts for the next 3 years. I would gladly give Pitts, my protected #1, Mitts, Risto and a prospect.

i know that is a lot but it would give Dylan time to mature.

how in the holy frank can you be one of the best teams 5 on 5 and one of the last place teams on both PP & PK? it is mind blowing to me how bad we suck.
