Positive side of things... Last night before I even got a chance to turn the game on it was 1-0. I decided I'd keep up on the score on my phone and start watching if the sabres tied it up. They never did.

That was painless. Now just give me 16 more painless losses.

First, why are the Avs trading Kadri after just trading for him?
Rakell is a nice player on a great contract, but is he a center? He has taken 11 faceoffs this year and 48 last year. He may have came in as a center, but has moved to the wing. I think we have a couple of those already.
How much are you willing to give up for one season of RNH? Likely with him at 2C we are contending for the playoffs, so unlikely to flip him at the TDL. First time headed to free agency for him and likely going to look for top dollars. Would be Skinner all over again.
Malkin has 2 years left at $9.5m, will be 34 in July and has a NMC. Your proposal is allowing Pittsburgh to rebuild on the fly and weakening our already thin prospect pool.

Cozens will be a Buffalo Sabre on October 1st however I agree he should start off on the wing. If they want to keep him at Center to start it should be very sheltered on the 3rd line.

Let’s say though we get one of Byfield/Rossi/Lundell. Botts should be on the phone the next day offering Risto, Mitts, 2021 first and getting a player that can help us win next year while Cozens and said player continue to develop.
