Cozens will be a Buffalo Sabre on October 1st however I agree he should start off on the wing. If they want to keep him at Center to start it should be very sheltered on the 3rd line.

Let’s say though we get one of Byfield/Rossi/Lundell. Botts should be on the phone the next day offering Risto, Mitts, 2021 first and getting a player that can help us win next year while Cozens and said player continue to develop.

Sexton has already mentioned that would be the case with Cozens and Pekar as well if both Sudbury and Lethbridge were to suffer early exits.

He doesn’t have to, keeping Larry and finding a vet 2C that can handle defensive zone starts would go along way in allowing him to play 3C right off the hop.

I could also see him riding shotgun in the top 6 on Eichel’s wing or opposite Skinner on the 2nd line.

Tage’s injury was unfortunate however he still have value in either a trade or as a middle 6 winger moving forward.

Colin Miller can be used to acquire help up front or be a fixture on the backend on the 2nd or third pair.
