What about shaq lawson?

Are you paying him?
Franchising him?

Is he not a "stud" pass rusher?

I'm kinda torn on shaq.
Injured early in his career, looked good last year.

Not sure if hes a top 15 pass rusher though

- Boss34

He’s not even close to a “stud” pass rusher
Shaq Lawson had ONE “decent” season in a contract year
Not even close to a top15 pass rusher

Maybe injuries are what held him back?
I’d look to sign him, but not as a starter
He’d be a good DE3 imo
Get a stud across from Hughes
Cut Murphy for added Cap Space

I live in Tennessee now so the only NHL is Nashville 3.5 hours away...... Unfortunately I guess I need to rely on the big screen..

Were gonna be signing and spending big $ close to the cap this offseason. His $ will be needed.

Bill's will draft his replacement in april.

Probably sign a veteran as well. 1/2 his salary.

Gonna die on Murphy's hill?
Near marcus Johansson inbred mountain range?

- Boss34

I don't think so. There's a lot of Beane quotes that do not suggest this. So, will I die on a hill for it? No, but I think it's a safe bet he stays if he's not replaced.

I’d keep him as a #3 if the money makes sense
If not, i can live without him if we bring in a legit
#1 pass rusher

I think the window of a rookie qb cap hit, makes the Bill's bulk up big time the next 2 years. Spend big $ to try and win.

Murphy like Lee smith , frank gore and lorenzo were here to lay the foundation for the young players.

I'm hoping Edmund's is stepping into that leadership role and making a difference in the games?

On the flip side, the NBA has been resting its stars in the name of "load management" for years, now, and isn't budging despite mild fan protest. If NHL teams started doing that, they would survive, especially when the team is in playoff contention. It's not an easy thing to see as a Sabres fan, but if the Sabres went that route with Eichel, other teams would do it with their stars as well.
- buffalofan19

Big difference in the NBA and NHL. Any team can win any game in the NHL regardless of how good/ bad the teams are. In the NBA the good teams could sit 1, 2 or even 3 guys and still have no problem beating a bad team. A lot less parity in the NBA.

Then why give him an 8 year contract ?

We could of traded for Ennis, Athanasiou, Zucker, Burakovsky, Namnitsnikov who can produce those same numbers for a fraction of the cost.

Will they produce as many chances as Skinner ? Absolutely not, but last time I checked the score shows the goals that went into the net not the ones that were directed towards it.

- Pegullaville

Skinner has 54 goals since last year started

Tyler Ennis has 27.

Why are you pretending that’s remotely the same?

Saw something on twitter that I liked

Trade for him after he is franchised and take on the Foles contract

Give the Bills a good backup and a stud pass rusher, and since they are taking on that contract it lowers the price SIGNIFICANTLY

I would also keep Lawson.

The Bills like to rotate the DE's anyway

If Casey sucks, it's because he was a bad draft pick (by Botterill). Either the kid has it or he doesn't. It's not because he was rushed. If he's good enough, he will figure it out.

27 goals for 700K. That’s a lot more bang for your buck don’t you think ?

That's completely absurd. He traded for Skinner. He always wanted to sign him. Blaming the fans for a contract you dont like instead of the blaming the GM who signed him to it is some kind of mental gymnastics
- jcragcrumple

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that it took till the midnight hour, do you ?

That contract is going to haunt this team. The only way we make up for it is if we get remarkable value from players on ELC’s and what’s the likelihood of that ?

Ennis? Are we (frank)ing serious? The guy had 3, 5, 8 & 12 goals the previous 4 seasons and was on the verge of being run out of the league.

Let me guess, you predicted Tyler Ennis was going to make a comeback? Show me that post.
