Hard to leave Recchi off this list considering many of his best years and large chunk of his stats were as a Flyer. |

You need both Recchi and Gagne on here.
Def ditch Poulin
Gotta be someone over Provy I’m not thinking of? |

Provy is young, but If you’re looking at strictly talent and projected production (fingers crossed no health scares), he damn well may belong here.
I thought about that awhile. It’s a tough call.
And yeah. Recchi over Poulin. I’m not sure where Gags fits as much as I love the dude. |

Not to overestimate the intelligence of an NHL GM on the NHL equivalent of black friday, but the Flames already have Gaudreau and Tkachuk at left wing. And if Hall has one city/team he's set on, that should drive down the price.
IF I were the Flames GM, and IF I wanted to shell out for Hall, it'd mean either Hall, Gaudrea, or Tkachuk is becoming a right winger, or Gaudreau is getting traded(which, if the return is good, isn't the worst idea).
That said, Hall strikes me as a guy who'd sign with the worst team in the league if they offered an extra half million a year, and then talk about "wanting to win" at the press conference. |

All these teams that stocked up at the deadline are gonna be a little pissed off if the rest of the season is cancelled.... |

I mean, the dude is prolly gonna finish 2nd all time for the Flyers in points after Clarke. Gotta give it to him. |

It’s a fantastic team. They’re gonna grind you down, wear you out, and can still score with ease. Parent is a brick wall in net, and the D is sound.
But they’re still not on the level of like the Habs. |

7x9m I would say is hall’s real value, you may get a team with a ton of cap space offering 10+ but teams with that kind of cap space generally aren’t good.
I could also see hall taking 7x8m to be on a good team with a track record of competing the last few seasons. If he signs with a fringe team or worse all that talk about wanting to win is b.s, he has made millions of dollars, will continue to make millions of dollars. If he signs for 8 he’s only losing 7-14 million for a better shot at winning the cup (while still making 56 million).
I don’t love the thought of him coming to Calgary due to injury history, but if he were to tkachuck will slide over to RW as he has in the past when loading lines. I would also say this is contingent on what the salary cap goes up to. If it’s at the 84 million I would say forget it since Calgary still has to resign mangiapane. |

I can’t see Hall take 8/year. This will be the biggest payday of his career and he knows it. Next contract after this will be a pay decrease. He’ll want 8 figures per year, and someone will probably cough it up. |

If someone goes 7yr/$10 they are really going to regret the last 3 years of that contract. If he does 5yr/$11 it might not be so bad. However, I think whoever signs him will never recoup their investment. He still is a real good player, but his best years are behind him. |

It all depends on what team signs him, I could see him taking 8m to be on a cup contending team if all his talk about wanting to win is true. Sure he might get persuaded by a bad team with a ton of cap space but most good teams don’t just have an extra 10+m lying around to spend on 1 player. If he were to do that I also believe the team would be overpaying as I don’t think he’s a 10 million dollar player to begin with. Add in players with multiple injuries tend to decline faster it’s a deal that can look bad earlier into the contract. |

8x8 is 64
10x8 is 80
I can’t see this kid turn away $16 million just yet, even if it is for a contender. Maybe if the contender offered 9 per. Even if you’ve made that much coin, $16m is a ton of dough to leave on the table.
But then again, maybe that’s just my logic. |

If you believe that goals per game in the playoffs (or even points per game) are where it counts, then it is really difficult to ignore D.Briere. IMHO he is worth consideration. |

He wasn’t better than some of these other forwards during his tenure in Philly.
Brier doesn’t best Giroux (or any of these others) I don’t think |

If you're going to say Pronger(whom you barely had)..You have to say Jagr |

Again, like JR, he was GOOD but not great with Philly.
Pronger was still near the top of his game when he lead them to the cup finals and would have stayed there a bit longer (see: Chara) barring the injury |

Hall is not worth 10. Maybe 6-7 range. He has not proven anything. He is not a leader of men. Has not won a cup.
Ek this is a question for you. Who is the Blues rival team. I would think Blackhawks but you have them against someone else.
How much does Petro deserve? I am think he resigns with the Blues for 8-10 per year at max length. |

We got the L-C-B line how about the Legion of Doom line? Renberg?
Big time goal scorers?
Justin Williams? Jeff Carter? |

Unless it is cheep cheep like 6 For 6 I would completely pass. hall is a good player but he is a whinny baby who gives up on his teammates when the going gets tough. (Ie edm). You don’t need a good player but a bad teammate |

I could see the Avs offer a really large AAV for 3 years. This is what they tried to do with Panarin.
$15M over 3 years. They have the cap space and that contract runs until Mac needs to be resigned. |
