Whenever hockey resumes I'm predicting the NHL will want to gain immediate excitement and revenue. So they will likely have a condensed playoff format for a 2020 champion. It would be like having a world class tournament prior to the start of another regular season.

This could be in August or September. Then a two week break for the draft, awards, and free agency by week 2 training camps. Week 3 into November for start of the new regular season 20/21.

As there is no cap in playoffs the Cauncks could add a couple players they had rights to and as such were on their reserve list. Then when they have their mini training camp prior to the games a new line up could be:

I’m on record as saying when JB traded the first for Miller last summer the rebuild phase was over, they’re on the surround the youthful core and continue to build depth through the draft phase.

Leivo is good, keep him and JV for depth imo. Both can play either wing and have decent over all games. Ship out Sutter, LE and Beagle over JV all day.

i've read that the "spanish" flu is only called that because they were the only country reporting about the disease. all the other countries were censoring or just not talking about it.

as you mentioned the flu began in the US where horses were being kept with pigs (or another filthy animal). those horses were infected and were then transported across the atlantic and used in WW1. with the dirty trench warfare, the flu spread quickly.

interesting how the "spanish" flu had very little to do with spain.
