Canadian nurses begging for masks, and Canada gave away tonnes of equipment to bloody China. Now China selling masks to the rest of the world. China and their Chinese flu. https://nationalpost.com/...l-right-to-wear-n95-masks - kaptaan

the ze germans line was from the movie.
i've read that the "spanish" flu is only called that because they were the only country reporting about the disease. all the other countries were censoring or just not talking about it.
as you mentioned the flu began in the US where horses were being kept with pigs (or another filthy animal). those horses were infected and were then transported across the atlantic and used in WW1. with the dirty trench warfare, the flu spread quickly.
interesting how the "spanish" flu had very little to do with spain. - RealityChecker
That’s the gist of the story as you’ve stated above. Rhetoric and deflection and tragedy all rolled up into one.
Regarding the bolded...
Hey, a sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie. But I'll never know 'cause I wouldn’t eat the filthy mother(frank)ers. Pigs sleep and root in poop. That's a filthy animal. I ain't need nothin' that ain't got sense enough to disregard its own feces.

I’m sure you have seen his other gangster flick, Lock Stock. If not, also worth a watch and on Netflix right now. - 1970vintage
lock stock and snatch are almost perfection. rocknrolla was good. the rest of guy ritchie's works have never gotten to that level.
have you seen his latest? "the gentlemen." if not, you don't need to. he's trying to recreate snatch with some homages to tarantino and a couple others.
the accents are horrible. hugh grant tries to play his character (and accent) as a cross between brick top and bullet tooth tony. i kid you not!

Hugh Grant was good in Paddington 2. He got rave reviews from my kids.
To many forwards, Jake Virtanen can do what Leivo does and he’s a much better skater. - LeftCoaster
Don’t see a Jake trade coming unless due to the e-draft & unload Loui with him. Leivo injury hurt him but he’s replaceable unless willing to sign for the min.

Understand why they put Hansen on the fourth line, but that's pretty absurd to have him on a dream team - NewYorkNuck
I liked Yannik as a player but... to have him on our dream team because he worked hard every shift goes to show that the country club attitude within this franchise was/is real. Pathetic.

IMac wrote the piece, not the Canucks, it was one man’s opinion. But yes, the club had internal issues imo in the Sedin era. Man that was probably the most talented team ever assembled by the organization.
