I really like Jake also. I love the Shotgun tribute and I think he is a good young player.

My issue with the team is the D . It still needs fixing. I don't think slotting in Tryamkin and Rafferty would fix it and there is very little on the UFA market . That leaves the last option of trade. Who on Canucks have trade value . Brock or Jake?

No he is not . I heard those same things about him a few years back . I watched him play about 6 times this year and concentrated on him every time he stepped on the ice.

All parts of his game are just fine. He is tough , he hits a lot ( leads the team in hits), he plays in front of the net on PP1. His passing is on point. He is as effective as Edler in his own end and will get you 40 points.

Remember when Edler was -39 . Risto was -41 two years ago on a terrible team. He was -2 this year.

He had 6 goals 33 points in 69 games -2 . A 6'4 RHD that can hit like a truck and puts up 40 pts yearly .

I will take him any day TYVM

They have refused offers on him before . Same as the speculation that Edler was on the block before.

I think it would need to be a significant deal . That is why I have Jake and a freak sized Tryamkin as part of the offer

I think they have 34 mil in cap space so they don't really need to shed salary.

Be nice to keep both and have a coach that will utilize them properly.

There’s too many old people down there anyway, so I’ve read, so really no biggy

I’ve got nothing against Leivo, he served a much needed purpose, he allowed Virtanen time to mature and find his NHL game, however, he’s there now, there’s no need for Leivo. If the organization chooses Leivo over Virtanen there’s no hope for this franchise until current coaches and management are gone.
