When has a trade or contract renewal not freaked canuck fans out?
I remember the angst amongst fans during the Bertuzzi/Burkie contract negotiations back in 2003. I think it ended up around $7M per and then the same people complained it was too much.
Never a dull moment in this market. |

Thanks Carol!
Some weird play list action today.
A “I miss grunge” apple playlist, followed by Billy Ocean, Stone Free (Jimi Hendrix tribute), Mika and the Bruce Hornsby.
First day back to work since my isolation ended, even though we’re not open for business. This work thing is hard. |

You know the guys you beat up in junior high... it's what they played.
Disclaimer - I used to play it and still have my player's handbook.

I lost all my books and magazines in the late 90’s when our crawl space flooded. Haven’t played since I was maybe 15. |

It all stems from never winning a Stanley Cup. The highs and lows from wanting to win so bad makes people grab on tight to any issue, big or small, like it's the most important thing on the planet.
No ones been able to bring us a Cup, if they had, I think it'd be a little easier to digest some of these things. |

I think there's a lot of water that needs to flow under the bridge before we know, and for the record I supported the trade even though I hate giving up picks and prospects, the guys deserved a shot at the post season. |

I prefer to think that Boston was going to win the cup, which has now been prevented.

Yeah but that one is a used stinky sports cup all yellow around the edges and all. It has vent holes so you can't even drink out of it. |

Before knowing what the cap will be and when they'll even play hockey again?

Get him under a reasonable contract now, don't let him go to market. Have Pearson work on him. |

100% accurate. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride.
We should do a pool on when a cup will be ours... Maybe easier to do an over/under? Should we set the number at 75 years from NHL conception? |
