Roussel said the person he would not want to be quarantine with is Travis Green
I think he is safe though , last year Loui said he was a bad coach and still got plenty of ice time. |

All of this optimism because numbers are levelling on a weekend. Reported numbers have been lower than normal every weekend since i've been watching them. - golfingsince
BC isn't testing the same as other provinces. I think we can safely say we can quadruple the number of confirmed cases in BC and it would be closer to being accurate than what is being presented. Having said that, I don't think BC has done a bad job with its preventative measures and social distancing, despite personally thinking we were more reactive than proactive, i still don't think we have done bad in that regard.
anyone who thinks any major sporting event will resume in May is out to lunch. |

Here’s the testing rates per capita

BC not great but far from the worst. You may want to reconsider your first statement. |

up until we outsourced the lifelabs contract and added the other 4 hospitals, we weren't doing that well. Accommodating 4000 tests per day is a hell of a lot better than the 250ish we could accommodate before. In no way am I saying we are the worst or the best, im simply saying what while we see a bit of flattening in BC, the whole story isn't being told with how long we went restricting testing to eldery and healthcare workers only. I am also trying to temper peoples expectations about thinking that we will resume any sort of professional sports league in May is ludacris.

Except the UFC
“We’re getting the infrastructure put in now, so I’m gonna start doing the international fights too with international fighters,” White told TMZ. “I won’t be able to get international fighters, all of them, into the U.S., so I have a private island. I’m gonna start flying them all into the private island and start doing international fights from there.
“So as of April 18, the UFC is back up and running.” |

100% agree but I think we as a province have done well. We’ve tested about 10% of our total provincial population in two months. We deserve to take some pride in that.
Quebec about 11%.
What is very scary is Ontario’s efforts. As you said, if you triple our cases based on testing rates what is Ontario’s true numbers!? |

Well what MLB was saying is that all the teams would play to empty stadiums in the Phoenix area from what I understand.
If the NHL were to resume that model it would be somewhere in the north.
For all the testing going on it's still in most cases less than 1% of an area's population. Also, so many deaths going on that aren't assigned to covid-19 because they aren't testing the dead.
I read today that the amount of people in NYC that typically die at home on an average day are 20-25. Right now it's over 200 per day. |

oh i take major pride on how far BC has come. I personally think our preventative measures have all come weeks late, but that's just me. I am just so scared of the predictions that they telling us, the incoming "surge" and how that is going to effect an already depleted healthcare system and it's resources. That PPE can't get here soon enough as is. |

It is and I have a personal connection to that place having spent so much time there.
It really was predictable given the response however. |

Hate to say it but Ontario’s economy is in the top 15 in the world. Better than most countries. If they crash because of this virus, Canada is (frank)ed regardless of what the other 12 provinces/territories do.

Oops, tee hee. Brain fart.
1% or 1000 out of every 100,000.
You are correct. I stand corrected. Quebec is 1.1%. Ontario is 0.5% |
