Staal needs to be put in the role he was in Pittsburgh. He needs to be centering the 3rd line in a checking shut down role.

I'd certainly have him there to start the year and I know it's a small sample size but Geekie looked really good when he was called up. I'd imagine Geekie makes the team and starts next year on the fourth line but he's not a long-term fit there. That's when it becomes tricky as to what to do with Staal.
