So straight to the playoffs then?
- 1970vintage

TBH, I couldn’t care less. I have no stake in the NHL so teams and league making money is no concern of mine. In fact trying to finish the season is plain greed.

Cancel season including playoffs and go straight to the draft in June. Then prepare for the 20/21 season to start as usual. That way they can monitor if there will be a second virus wave in the fall and not be responsible for unnecessary risk.

Tough to really say wether it would be best to give up a pick this year or next. If next year winds up shortened as well due to covid how willing are you to trust limited data on a potential prospect. Where as this year you pretty well know what you’re getting with each prospect.

Personally, I wrote this season off a while ago.

I still think JTM and TT are an okay substitute for a first and second round choice.

This kid Michaelis looks like a good pick up.

The JTM trade looked like hot garbage at the time but if he can continue his play alongside petterson I’ll call it a win. While the trade didn’t look bad by any means on the surface it reminds me of Calgary acquiring lindholm, seemed like a decent top six player evolved into first line winger.

I still envision the Canucks will find a way to keep toffoli, he seems to like it there and is a good fit in the top six.

I saw one of those in our garden last summer. I'm having a puff after dinner and something catches my eye flying around the plants. I call my wife out to check out the baby hummingbird and then I notice it has 4 wings. It was huge! I looked it up and sure enough it was one of those giant hornets that had been mutated in a lab in China. There were a number of sightings mid & south island last summer.

I hope they finish the season by sequestering all the players and necessary staff including the GMs and executives.

Then have the playoffs. Start next season in mid October. Eliminate the all star game and one week rest. Then the league will be back on schedule.

I'm anticipating therapeutics will take care of the novel flu.

Really? I’ve heard of these things in the southern US but didn’t realize they had reached Van Island. That’s crazy. Our bee populations are having trouble as is. They don’t need this complicating life even further.

The “lab in China” comment made me smile. I’m going to google... I’m sure someone has said the same but was being serious.

That’s where an AR15 comes in handy.

I speak from many years experience. Hit it at night with the first wave of whatever product you use. Then seal the entrance with expanding spray foam. Then hang pheromone bags the next day to catch the stragglers. A beekeeping jacket comes in handy for ladder work.

Yeah, I was a neophyte and didn’t realize you do the killing at night or while it’s raining. Plus my ladder wasn’t tall enough. Just a series of comical errors.

The next day there was just a cloud of wasps outside of the entrance because the poison stopped them from getting in. They were angry and waiting for me.

Good suggestion on the pheromone bag though. Thx. This summer I’ll be armed with knowledge!

The Pheromone bag helps prevent them from building elsewhere.

Not complaining about Miller or Toffoli, as I like both players, I agree with him on the lack of information for next years draft eligibles, if leagues are shutdown again, because of the 2nd and 3rd waves of this virus.

I could debate every single point you made above with our healthcare and testing limitations but I'm hung over and dont think it will matter to you anyway
