Ok.
Well, my point was that we have a bunch of highend kids (not prospects) in the system and a few that could be highend (prospects).
i don't think we could reasonably expect to land a prospect that 'screams highend player' this year at around where we (or NJD) pick and I am therefore happy to exchange that pick this year for JTM and pick the next year. - dbot
Despite some glaring misses Jim Benning and Judd Brackett have drafted exceptionally well over the past six drafts. I don’t see any highend prospects but as I said, that doesn’t mean any of the prospects (kids NOT in the NHL) won’t become good NHL players.
I saw Boeser at rookie camp in Shawnigan Lake and he was heads and tails better than any other kid out there. I thought his shot was pro caliber. That said, I haven’t seen Pod or Hog or Lind in person but I have seen each of them play on the net and TV.
My point was they don’t scream highend prospects, to me, but here’s to hoping.
With Day 12 of the trailer, I need it lighten it up, I'm cracking up, you know what I mean? I can't figure it out...I'm slipping fast...
So Spaceballs it is. One of Mel Brooks' spoof parody comedies based on the Star Wars franchise. Lots of gag, open ended, and stupid joke laughs. Not Mel's best ( Blazin' Saddles. Young Frankenstein) and it is dated, but still has that draw of his flicks.
A Movie Quote" So, Lone Starr, now you see that evil will always triumph, because good is dumb.
Just before sports all shut down I was listening to a segment on Canuck prospects and among the good news, Woo fell under the disappointing news. The claim was he didn't really show any progress on the Hitmen. I'm not sure if they were just focusing on the 20 point drop off or not. Anyone know more on this? - boonerbuck
Being traded & adjusting to a new team is all. Don’t read anything in to it.

Plenty of high end prospects maybe not elite is what you mean.

Hmm, I think he doesn’t want to give credit what so ever to anything Benning, he has to qualify credit to Benning by acknowledging Brackett. The prospect pool is a good mix of talent, if there was a possibility of picking a Pettersson or Hughes and having them wallowing away in the AHL while space became available is a pipe dream...for any team.
Canucks have a diverse level of talent in their minor club, they are there to supplement the NHL team when needed and hone their skills in the meantime.

Well you nailed it. I like how we look & what is ahead. I guess it’s never enough for a segment of the fan base.
Is it too much to ask for ppl to enjoy the process rather than nit pick it to death?
The farm is deeper than ever. Green has done ok but time he takes it to higher levels. I’m not sold on his associate coaches. The D can still be our achilles heal. F depth is more than solid. Lets see where it leads & give it some time.
JV Boeser & Hughes all made the jump straight away. Petey took a year to work on his game. Those are great results. Rathbone when or if he signs could be the next to step in along with Hoglander. If not a year in the A will be beneficial on many levels. OJ is ripening & can be anytime soon. Then Pod will be arriving & possibly Woo but probably a year or more later. That’s a lot of influx on the horizon. Contracts will time out for them to have spots. Others are unknowns & still create depth as time passes.

You realize how hypocritical you are right? Benning’s greatest contribution to the prospect pool has been his leadership. In providing the framework for the scouts, and putting people (like Bracket) in positions to succeed. Every organization gets by when they lose key people, they find others. Hopefully they have been grooming someone to take over that role when Bracket leaves.
