I guess it is all how you interpret written tone of a message, no swarm and attack, just calmly responding to vintsy's reply. - Makita
I'm just a little sensitive because I hate Benning, too. I'm glad you're not as savage with me but you're probably hesitant about dealing with my clique. |

Those examples were from the video of them at the draft table, not word of mouth. Jim’s quote, I believe, was “he’s going to be a player”. - 1970vintage
Isn't that quote part of the video where Benning consulted with Brackett about the trade to move down and acquire an extra pick.
I believe he asked him if the trade was good value, which Brackett said yes. |

In addition to the Oilers submitting a bid to the NHL to host games, Can also report that the Vancouver Canucks have also done so. League is going through the numerous proposals it has received. |

FA is and always will be a twat - Codes1087
Every article I read about pursuing the rest of the season and the playoffs is followed by a huge comment section were 9 out 10 fans say the the league is;
a) greedy
b) stupid
c) tone deaf
d) sports takes a back seat to a global health crisis
Also, take into account that every player returning from their home country has to quarantine for 14 days before joining the team. So at this stage that takes them into the 3rd week of May before they can even start a mini training camp. Then there is a condensed playoff push into the fall, a short break and then a condensed, full '20-21 season followed by playoffs well into next summer. I don't see any injury problems at all. |

You've got that right, your (frank)ing clique is ruthless, they way in which you each take turns berating posters is relentless. I really hate the blog style rants that you guys hit posters with, makes me quiver in my boots.
clique is just a fancier version than gang, do you all wear special colours, specific clothing like Richardies, secret handshakes? |

To be honest I'm done with this pandemic and the restrictions. So now families will have to choose who they want to extend to. Does my daughters family choose us or her husbands family to extend to when they are allowed to extend to one further family. Same for my son, it's been 7 weeks since we have hugged our grand children and we could still be on the outside if they chose the other grand parents, I can see this creating friction and it kinda pisses me off. |

im not aware of this "extension" thing that you are speaking of, and i sympathize for you. My parents haven't seen their grand kids in weeks and wekks and i know its taking a toll on them, and my kids (they are too young to understand), but we have to continue to be vigilant. These restrictions may be lifted to a certain degree soon, but the social distancing measures wont be. How we conduct ourselves socially will forever be changed, and I imagine things like hand shaking will be a thing of the past, where in a year or two, we all laugh about how it was once a normal thing.
in a nut shell, until herd immunity or a vaccine has been reached, which won't be in 2020, we should expect to function as we are right now, and the only way to describe it is, it sucks. |

I think finishing the season is stupid. They should cut it down to 68 games, and the teams that make playoffs from this go to host cities based off of round 1 and 2, figure out sites for round 3 and finally 4. Give a training camp, followed by playoffs. Or just cancel it all together and plan for a late start to next season. |

Oh, I could be mistaken, but my wife watches Bonnie everyday, (I stopped a month ago, same messages, same questions, doom and gloom) and she said possibly mid month restrictions may be eased and families will be allowed to extend out to one extended family.
Golfing stated that this has been implemented in NB. |

NFL teams were exposed for playing recorded crowd noise through the speakers at games back in the early 2000's. I think Baseball as well.

I don’t think it is going to come to police state levels like in the US. Just be smart. If your children, or grandchildren are a little sick, maybe just keep your distance a little. Kids are the devil when it comes to spreading virus. They touch everything! |
