That’s going to be an expensive mistake for those hotels... in BC we’re slowly opening the economy back up, but not the borders. Airlines won’t resume normal operations, ever. When airports can outline a plan to reduce crowding, and airlines earn back consumer confidence maybe people will start flying again regularly. Without tourists, Vegas is nothing. - 1970vintage

What were you thoughts after the announcement?
I plan on talking with my daughter and son about extending my circle on the 19th.
I thought Horgan spoke out of turn when he replied to a question that he would hug his mother on Mother’s Day if he felt it was safe to do so. Would have loved to have seen Bonnie’s face when he said that. - Makita
So to be completely honest. I wont be changing my social distancing or preventative measures anytime soon. They will analyze and record the data after the measures have been lifted and will track trends and outbreaks, which is great, but I personally think it's a tad too soon. I get that the economy needs to get going again, and people have mortgages and what not, I just personally think it's a bit too soon, despite how awesome BC has done and is doing. |

So what you are saying is that you support a draconian police state. |

If the season does continue all teams will have to begin in the same country because of potential quarantines...
So yeah...that would be America. |

Or Canada. But definitely one of them. Or maybe Sweden, because they’re so awesome. So definitely one of those. |

I didn’t know if he was talking North America or South America. But personally I don’t think Brazil or Argentina have enough rinks so he must be talking North. |

Although it would never happen I think different regions of the province should have different restrictions ....northern BC has almost no cases and plenty of hospital space ...Vancouver/ lower mainland and the island are higher risk and have less hospital space.

You could never successfully enforce regions within a province to have different measures, I dont think. The issue I have, is that people (some, not all) were respecting restrictions when they were tighter, I hate to think of what happens when they are given an inch, and see if they dont take a mile. Again, the reason BC has done so well is because people were generally really good about social distancing, but even then, we had a ton of idiots not give a sh*t as well |
