I enjoy the challenge this time of year but there are lots of better prospect guys out there.
Would be nice to find a niche in hockey though. Focused heavily on the economics for soccer but i grew up on that.
I'd be over the moon with Holtz at seven, not out of the realm of possibility Imo - Michael Ghofrani
I really won’t complain with who we end up with, as long as they don’t draft Sanderson. |

Seems to have become the butt end of a lot of botterill draft jokes recently. I'd be very surprised if he went top 10 |

I explained why. Even if you disagree, there's an argument for it. It's not baseless. |

Theres absolutely no risk in Raymond high hockey IQ , fast , (his shot is elite like Jack ), passing is elite , his 2 way game is very underrated, Puck handling skills off the chart, .. if he doesn't go top 3
Teams will look like Idiots when they pass him just like they did Patrick Kane Jr.. ( oh let's not forget he's also a Natural center so you never know he might switch back that's a bonus point ..
And the reason for his playing time the coaches like using vets it's an Unwritten rule in Sweden.. you have to earn your straps |

That's why Holtz got plenty of usage and Gunler outscored Raymond at EV/60 ?

Frolunda is a much deeper team than Djurgardens though.
I’m not arguing your point though, I see the basis for having Holtz rated that high, he’s a very good prospect.
Like I said when I ranked my top 10 a few pages back, it’s all up to preference and team fit. |

Gunler literally got identical even strength ice time per game
All SHL teams are known for prioritizing the veterans, it's a pro league. The fact that Djurgardens had a lot of faith in Holtz (and he delivered) says a lot.

They're pretty close in talent imo but yeah i could be talked into interchanging any number of these picks in the top 10 |

Cool he had 3 extra points this is up there with the agreement that Brady Tkachuk was going to bust because he had 8 goals his draft year lol
If you believe Lucas Raymond is a high risk bust player then I'll see you in 3 years when he has 80-90 pts in the nhl
And Gunler has 50- 60 pts
And I never said Holtz was bad he will be a good scorer |

I'm not saying he's a high risk of being a bust, just that there's a risk that he may not reach superstar potential, i don't think that's far fetched.
I don't understand the Tkachuk comparison especially since Tkachuk had a very good freshman year overall. |

You weren't here people called Brady a bust because he had 8 goals and I said you all are just stat watchers and he will be a beast
Btw you said raymond could be like Casey that's what Triggered me Casey could be great if he puts down the food and video games |

It was out all over the place that Botterill thought Brady Tkachuk was the 2nd best player in that draft, and people were mocking the Sabres incessantly about possibly taking Tkachuk if they didn't win the lottery that year due to Tkachuk having a very limited offensive game.
Similar to this year with the clown jokes about them taking Sanderson (they won't).
How does your model accurately predict somebody like Stutzle coming from an unheralded league? |

Michael Ghofrani: Buffalo Sabres Draft Primer Part 2: Top 10 Draft Board For 1st Round Pick - Michael Ghofrani
Regarding what you wrote about Perfetti below, isn't that what you want to see from a player? The ability to perform when it matters most, which in this case would be the second half of his draft year?
Perfetti rounds out the top 5 because of his game changer/playmaking abilities but I’m always hesitant about picks who turn it up in the home stretch of their draft years. |

Perfetti scored a lot of goals last year as well.
His nickname coming into this season was “Goal Perfetti”. This year he shot at an extremely low shooting percentage the first half of the year which affected his total stats. What was impressive though was the playmaking he brought this year that turned him into a threat by shooting or making a pass to set someone else up.
Perfetti is a great prospect, my only concern is his skating. That’s why I have him in the 8-10 range instead of a slam dunk top 5 pick.

He shot 22% last year versus 15% overall this year?
They say he has an elite shot and elite hockey sense. |
