Boeser to me will be a 60 point guy and you don't give them away. My question is can he get 60-70 pts playing with Bo ? I like Toffoli on Petey's side. That could change but so far so good.

Which brings me to my next question.

Do the goals and assists in the 24 team round robin count as points in regular season? Doesn't seem fair that they do seeing not all teams will play an equal amount of games? Do they take everyone's points back to 68 games?

Good Question...

I’m thinking that our goaltending saved us from having another dismal season and Marky won’t be able to sustain that level of play long term (if he’s even on the roster next season) whether through talent or injuries.

Can’t always rely on your goaltender to bail you out. Got to have a solid D-core to win games, especially in the second season.

We weren't on a good pace numbers-wise after Marky went down. Sub .500 I think and were on pace to miss at around 91 points. The D does need shoring up. Many want to keep Tanev Edler but don't really understand that with them in the D core Marky is still facing 50+ shots per game. That has to change and it begins by moving on from Edler Tanev. Sooner rather than later.

I am certain that has more to do with the system rather than the players. If they shore up the team D, there won't be nearly as many shots against. Edler and Tanev aren't the sole reasons for shots against.

Benning’s an idiot who has an eye for drafting. Everything else is a dumpster fire. Not a good NHL GM.

A head scout who was given a chance from a buddy who was a president of a dysfunctional NHL franchise.

Benning has traded for 3 of the top 6 forwards

Fraser Health got hit pretty hard. I think working from home for 2-3 months is a fantastic idea. I am hoping, that despite our low numbers on the Island, I can maintain working from home part time until we get a vaccine (wishful thinking I know)(

Doctor: "Based on how many of my patients come in for broken ankles, I would say you are more likely to break your ankle on a trampoline than you would while getting out of the tub"

People: "F*ck Doctors and their misinformation, I have never broken my ankle doing either of those things, all doctors do is lie"

I just don’t think Bo is a great playmaking centre. Boeser needs someone to get him the puck to set up that amazing shot. I don’t think Bo’s the guy to do that.

Time will tell.

And it only took JB six seasons to accomplish it.

Lets see how many years it takes the great Stevie Y to turn around the Wings.

Benning was asked to make chicken salad out of chicken sh1t.

People forget when Benning first came on most said it would take 5-6 years to turn it around.

Definitely, I just don't think naming Tanev for allowing shots is the best argument. All the advanced data says he's one of the best in the league at preventing/supressing shots.

Now, Myers and Benn, those guys aren't the best at keeping shots down. But they'd be better in a more structured system, which the Canucks need.

The fowards shoulder some of the blame too. The little things.

Every Canuck GM has to clean up the previous GMs mess. JBs situation was not unique. He’s done a good job restocking the prospect pool but it hasn’t translated into team success at the NHL level yet.

Let’s see if this organization can keep it going in the right direction and avoid the implosion that’s happened so many times throughout its history. I’m starting to suspect they’ll (frank) it up somehow. The latest drama as an example...

Sure. lol No one is blaming 'just' Edler Tanev but they are a big part of it with the minutes they log especially Eddie. But yes Green does need to pitch a better defensive structure. Which also means changing Dmen.

He was trying to compete for the first 3 years, he's only in the 3rd year of a rebuild.

Ok gents, thanks for having me. If we are getting back into this tired old argument of how JB sucks and only does wrong in spite of his flawless, mensa staff then I'm out for a while.

That's awesome. I think a ton of businesses that were able to have their staff work from home without any interruptions will have some serious decision making to do when things return to somewhat normal. Lease space on the island doesn't come cheap

don’t you start that “rebuild discussion” again. (frank) that was tedious. Even I wouldn’t stoop to that level.
