I’m not saying the experience isn’t valuable, just that it isn’t as important as some make it out to be, especially GM’s who overpay a player because they had success in the playoffs in the past.
I chose one player who we all know well, and one of the greats of the game who I wasn’t even sure if he had won a cup or not until I looked.
Pettersson just won a league championship and tournament MVP two years ago, pretty sure he will be fine. - 1970vintage
My biggest concern is Green’s lack of coaching experience in the playoffs. AV got out-coached early and midway through his career.
Now he’s the best coach in the league |

One or two foundational players in there - VANTEL
There’s ZERO foundational players in your veterans list. The foundational players, Pettersson and Hughes, have no NHL playoff experience. |

Should they resume play I think those guys, with their experience, will definitely help the young guys. - Pacificgem
I bet you it’s the other way around. |

Ok, here I’ll agree with you, Green is the wildcard. Makita, Marwood, ASL the loudest “Green is a tool” voices would suggest the Canucks don’t stand a chance. I think he’s smart enough to adapt. We shall see |

Sutter and Miller have made a big difference talking with the younger guys, I don’t think you’re on the right track here |

I really hope the NHL reseeds after the play in round. It makes no sense especially with all their talk about fair playoffs and cup integrity. |

I don’t like our chances against Colorado but I think their minds are made up. |

Maybe one day but he isnt showing that yet. His insistence of always making sure Horvat's line is bogged down with grinders and never putting together more than one scoring line shows me that he is stuck in a rut regarding his coaching style. He doesnt defend this coaching tactic neither... instead he preaches a false narrative about 3 scoring lines. Thats pure rubbish. He hasnt the confidence to do that yet and proves it game in, game out. He just tells the fans what they want to hear. Good move because most fans watch with their ears.

I thought the top teams were playing a mini tournament thing to get them up to gear but also for seeding purposes? Or has that been scrapped? |

EP and his 5 point game against the Avs gives me some hope that they can handle it.

They set up a bracket style until we are told different. I think you confused media etc discussing ideas.

I’m sure Miller will be a leader “on and off the ice” as you people like to say. I don’t think Petey is learning anything from Sutter... |

He’s just trying to stick up for Benning in that he still doesn’t have the caliber of players needed to actually have three scoring lines. |

I hope not. He’ll be on the injured list half the season if that’s the case.

Just look at Sutter, Pettersson should be learning that actually working out your legs is probably a good thing since Sutter has pencil's for legs and he's slower than Vantel. |
