I like the name Triumph from the motorcycles and cars .
- VANTEL

so do i!

plus triumph is a heavy metal band.

it's actually not a bad name for a sports team (if you like singular name sports teams like lightning, wild etc.)

Yup, just physical distance and try not to encourage roster line ups for the 2026-27 season.

Then you’d like Washington Fords better for how many years running they’ve been fixing the team.

This is the winner for the most ignorant post of the year.
I'm from BC. lived there until I was 40. Lost my job 3 times in 3 years and moved to Alberta. Albertan's are by and large the most accommodating people I have ever met. As I sit in my office up on site at this moment, I'm looking at people from Banglidesh, Kenya, Philippines, Zimbabwe, Newfoundland and Ontario. That's just my office. There are 10's of thousands of people from all over the world here trying to make a decent living.
I make fun of this province all the time (Anus of Alberta) BUT THE PEOPLE HERE ARE AMAZING! NO racial bias at all, just good people doing our jobs.
Alberta keeps most of this country at the status that we all enjoy. I know it kills a lot of people in group to hear that, but it is true. Can we do better with the environment, yes. But believe me this place is changing all the time trying to improve.
I will move back to BC soon (thanks Pyrogenesis stock PYR) because I love the climate, ocean, mountains,my family left behind, etc but don't talk bad about the people here.
Rant over...

Solid retort carson but the bolded is not true and is a typical Albertan talking point that “separatists” love to spout. I facepalm every time I read it.

I am looking forward to when the CBA and final cap is confirmed . I am keeping an eye of what NYR are going to pay D'Angello . I am hearing around the 5 mil range for him and Strome each.

This is going to be a fun off season . 9 teams with under 10 mil in space and need to sign players. There is going to be lots of movement and bargaining.

Coyotes have 1.5 mil in space and TB have TB have 5.3

You might see some serious affordable offer sheets like Sergachev . Bogosian and Shattenkirk will be looking for new homes. Barrie and Cici should be cheap.

Some GMs are going to find some very good deals this year.

So the pandemic has flattened the cap & created many problems to navigate. The teams getting hand outs are not facing the same challenges. The rich teams who max out the caps are hit the hardest & the weak non cap teams can benefit.

I couldn't tell you one Triumph song of the top of my head or who are the bandmembers.

But they did have great cars and Bikes and organs .

As Vantel pointed out in his comment above, Coyotes, who have probably been the biggest receiver of handouts, only has 1.5 million in capspace.

Btw, any thoughts on the 2026-27 lineup?

Applies more to teams like the Sens.

As for 2026/27 line ups that’s for my retirement days after banking from the LNG. In between then & now you’ll have to be in suspense lol

It drives me nuts. The production and delivery of oil products, natural gas and electricity in Canada contributes about $170 billion to Canada's $1.8 trillion gross domestic product (GDP), or just under 10%.

Alberta's energy sector contributed just over $71.5 billion to Canada's gross domestic product. Not even half of the $170 billion Canadian oil and gas contribution.

But by some miraculous math Alberta sustains Canada economy... it’s so false it’s frustrating.

Funny thing though Bloated is I'm not Albertan at all. Full on BC'er.
My Motto is,
Fully Liberal in all aspects of life.
Fully Conservative in all aspects of Finance.
Why isn't there a party like this to vote for?
I can't be the only one to think like this.

Hope your weekend is going well so far,

I've got a new blog for you, with Petey, plus the Canucks' quarantine protocols and some details and dates from the CBA/Return to Play plan, based on what we've heard so far.
