I can't find enough time to watch the 4-5 Rugby games a week and a Formula 1 race and if they add 3-4 hockey games a day I wont know what to do. - A_SteamingLombardi
I definitely don't care about those two, but if hockey is started at 3-4 games per day I will be more quarantined than the first few months |

Canadian government said no to Blue Jays playing home games in Toronto in empty outdoor stadium. I wonder what this means to hockey in January?
Enjoy this upcoming playoffs , it may be the last pro hockey you see for a year. |

Might it mean new divisions? The all-Canada division? |

Hope not. |

I would seriously doubt it.
I have hopes for these playoffs but have little faith in a season next year, although Carol once mentioned the new TV contract.
I hope the government follows safety first. A bubble city is fine because it is mostly controlled but flying here and there into infected areas will piss off the Canadian public. |

Unless a vaccine comes along real quick like, it's going to be hard for any league to do the travel aspect between Canada and the US.
If you look at the EPL and other Euro soccer leagues, they're doing alright right now with their travel. Though, most of it isn't by air... |

I don't follow soccer much so I am not sure about the league or the teams, but can most of the travel there not be done by bus?
I have also never been to Europe so I am not sure of the distance between cities.
I think though if the Canadian government shuts down border travel the only way it would work is if the Canadian teams found temporary lodging in the States. |

A regular season might look very similar, with no such thing as home games and players living/playing in a bubble zone. |

It would need to be a reduced schedule. No player will will want to be away from family 6 months.

If there is no season next year, I will be disappointed not seeing Lafreniere in a Canucks jersey.
Wonder if players contracts still get paid or if not will a year come off the term? |

"Patrick Johnston:
Nine Bruins absent from practice today. Bruce Cassidy took pains to point out ‘unfit to play’ covers a lot of possibilities but league policy doesn’t allow for proper explanation of any situation. Leaves us to assume it’s all Covid-related. What a mess."
Probably unfair to assume it's all covid related, but this thing is slowly unraveling with more and more players dropping off with the "unfit to play" status every day |

Cases are popping up here now, mostly young people who think they're indestructible. Town is packed.

Well Jake was in your neck of the woods and probably hit on more girls with the old line Do You Know Who I Am. Time to disinfect the town.

It truly is the 18-45 crowd that are f*cling everything up. I would have hoped we would have a better handle on things in wave 1 at this point than what it is. BC is definitely starting to see a consistent increase in daily recorded cases, which in comparison with the rest of the world isnt bad, but overall disappointing. |

NY State has been opening up and there's like 600 to 900 new cases a day. It's crazy. |

I'm all for the economy bouncing back, but cases will never go back down if they continue on this path. BCs amazing results were a testament to people listening to health professionals and shutting things down quickly. It's really sad to see some states reporting the new cases that they are (California, arizona, florida, texas) |

Thankfully it's been holding steady here for the past month like that, but it's not going to hold forever in America. I bike home from the studio every day and see people partying outside of bars crowding the sidewalk. It's just dumb.
From what I've read, it's mainly bars and restaurants that are causing these huge super-spreader spikes. |

It has to be COVID related or else it would be “upper body injury” or “lower body injury”.
Again, they ain’t playing, they are training or practicing. Unfit to train or unfit to practice doesn’t make sense to me.
It’s got to be what we all think it is. |
