Carol Schram: Travis Green ready to go with the flow as Canucks camp hits Day 6 Travis Green and his team are ready to roll with whatever lies ahead for them in Edmonton. They prepared for the NHL playoffs with a scrimmage on Thursday night, and got back on the ice at Rogers Arena for another practice on Saturday.

Thanks Carol excellent info. I think you meant the travel dates to read July instead of June in the 2nd paragraph though.

Just coming over Twitter in the last few minutes Blue Jays not allowed to play home games in Toronto as per govt.

I wonder how this will effect hockey at the start of next season?

Thanks! I have been doing that a lot - I guess June & July kind of morphed together fo me?

I think I'll be better once we get into August?

Yeah, I thought Bailey looked pretty solid. Didn't stand out as much as Zack though.

Today's media avail is on right now. MacEwen's up first, so he's getting noticed

You heard wrong. He got a raise of 5 million. His contract is now an easy 8 million.

Canucks have scheduled another scrimmage for Sunday night at 7 p.m.

Once again, Brendan Batchelor will have the call on Sportsnet 650. Tune in for the swears!

Thanks Carol for the update, great info !

I am happy that we have hockey related questions that need answers and debate. I like the hockey related discourse in the blog. I really feel that Green has them set up with a very business like"'put in the work" type attitude. I see this in watching JTM he has a different focus about him now, like he's going to be even more of a force against Minnesota. I also see it in Petey and Boeser they appear ready for the challenge, I can't wait to see it. I am curious of the intensity we may see in the exhibition game with the Jets, I feel like if we get there it will be pretty tentative.

Good points. Seems intensity is the key for Green to ramp up game readiness. If pace is good then they can execute under pressure.

Where it seems to go wrong is when players hesitate. Then positioning and systems fall apart.

Is this coaching staff able to sharpen the Canucks up to hit the ground running when the puck drops?

Other than ours, which series are you guys looking forward to?

Calgary/Winnipeg is a pretty good matchup
And i think Torts is going to outcoach Keefe and make that series very interesting.
