No, they've mandated that ANY injury or sickness is supposed to be relayed as "unfit to play". So that's why it's so hard to tease these things apart right now.

That was my understanding , especially the way Cassidy addresses the media.

He does need to be careful he got bumped from the top 6 when Brock came back and that is not a big surprise but he also got bumped down to the Beagle line at the end of the year while Zack stayed on Gaudette and Roussels line.

I'm all for the economy bouncing back, but cases will never go back down if they continue on this path. BCs amazing results were a testament to people listening to health professionals and shutting things down quickly. It's really sad to see some states reporting the new cases that they are (California, arizona, florida, texas)

Given how long most players have been off and the importance to not have a locker room spread with Covid I’m willing to bet almost all the players ruled unfit to play do not have Covid. Any symptoms probably lead to sitting out as precaution and preseason minor injuries happen all the time.

No, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. Some labs in March reported either 100% positives or 100% negatives. Those were outliers so they were investigated. But when you include those results into the huge number of tests being done across the state you still get a 14% infection rate, which is generally considered accurate at that time.

That’s the benefit of statistical analysis. It tends to negate the outliers to find the “mean” number.

The last report I read for the state, the infection rate has increased to 23% which again is online with hospitalizations.
