Yeah i'm proud of her. She'll be 12 this year going on 20. Within a year she went from nearly failing due to her french speaking ability to top of the class. She talks about being a doctor, mostly because she has concerns about the salary of the average marine biologist. That's where her heart is.

Sad but true. So far the only time the modern NHL has cancelled a season was a dispute over money. But they'll seek out every avenue to get playing during a global pandemic.

I seen Russel Wilsons tweet today and basically it was the same as another guys from yesterday. It basically asked WTF is going on? He said players had no guidelines or assurance of a safe environment . He stated his concern for his pregnant wife and did not sound happy.

I listened to Tim and Sid the other day and they said NFL is the only professional sports league without the natural disaster clause in it's CBA , meaning they are on the hook to pay salaries regardless.

It looks like they are going to a season in even if they don't have a proper plan.

It's so (frank)ing gross. I watched traffic sit in a yard for weeks with 20 guys laid off at our terminal. Not because there wasn't demand ( shortages anyone? ) but because they were protecting a share price. Efficiency, blaming it on covid19. Pretty much the entire last 2 months of the 2nd quarter. If it wasn't for the blockades beforehand, would have been the entire quarter.

Some layoffs were called for as industry shut down, but probably about half of them. Those are good jobs paying 90-140K/ year. Instead, protecting shareholders or executives with stock bonuses.

Went out to Beechy Head outside of Sooke today with my daughters and my wife, beautiful day out there, caught four Coho (kids lost a bunch) and somehow hooked a nice lingcod at 55 feet on the downrigger in 180 feet of water #fishandchips

I am not siding with owners but I think both sides have a say in whether to play or not.

The NHLPA has the right to say we don't think it is safe we will see you when it is safe. Of course it does mean no income for the players also.

I see people at crowded beaches and bars . People dining out and people going to work so I find it hard for me to pass judgement on others wanting to return to work and earn a living.
