Yeah i'm proud of her. She'll be 12 this year going on 20. Within a year she went from nearly failing due to her french speaking ability to top of the class. She talks about being a doctor, mostly because she has concerns about the salary of the average marine biologist. That's where her heart is.

Young black aces look more comfortable in the second evening scrimmage of camp. Kole Lind, Olli Juolevi and Brogan Rafferty all looking much stronger this evening than they did Thursday |

I’m still banking on Loui developing a allergy to his gear.
Aka The Hossa clause. - dbot
He can be the team RTP rep in Utica. By the time it might restart he’s done his contract. |

Gaudette line with MacEwen and Roussel has been Vancouver’s best through 20 minutes at Sunday night’s scrimmage. Rewarded with a garbage goal as Gaudette tucks home a rebound off of an Olli Juolevi shot. |

I am not siding with owners but I think both sides have a say in whether to play or not.
The NHLPA has the right to say we don't think it is safe we will see you when it is safe. Of course it does mean no income for the players also.
I see people at crowded beaches and bars . People dining out and people going to work so I find it hard for me to pass judgement on others wanting to return to work and earn a living. - VANTEL
The real issue is the US never really shut down. I mean some parts of it did, but people still fled to escape it and brought the virus with them. The NHL is SO FORTUNATE to have Canada to turn to.
I was reading this morning that in India the peak could still be 2-3 months away, just because life moves more slowly.
Dude, we're wide open here. Aside from social distancing and people wearing masks it's much like it was pre-pandemic. All kinds of things must be booked in advance. IMO it's all about getting down to manageable levels and having people follow medical guidelines.
This bullpoop about rights for the most part is that, bullpoop. It's not your MP/MLA telling you to stay home/wear a mask/socially distance, it's their doctor. The quickest way for things to open up safely is to comply with health guidelines, no matter how fluid they may be.
We've spent the last 10+ years proving we aren't hockey experts, but now we're all supposed to be infectious disease specialists? The math models are enough for me, I follow provincial health advice. |

I'll just stick to calling it a stupid signing, like many did from the beginning. |

Zack MacEwen the best #Canucks skater through 25. Wrecking ball period from him.
Markstrom probably best overall. Was all #TeamWhite in the first frame and Brock Boeser may have scored a buzzer beater (waved off by Manny Malhotra). Still: 1-0 #TeamBlue after the first half. |

I agree people are not listening . Doctors tell people don't smoke and yet we see it everywhere.
They will listen when it is too late as usual. |

I think you'll at a minimum need to see players hospitalized before they call it off. I could be wrong but money talks. - golfingsince
Could be, I would have more confidence in the league's integrity if they spelled it out, although I assume the PA is aware. I read an article the other day saying the advice from the medical community likely would of been that once there were more positive tests than the baseline then they should prepare to cut their losses.
I think the initial testing in phase 2 was around 20 positive tests, the author suggested that 3-4 players on the same team would constitute a serious outbreak and they would need to shut down.
I also want to know of the league will view all players the same. If Pasternak, Bergeron and Marchand go down for Boston, do they have the same reaction if its Beagle Motte and Sutter?

Yeah man of course because that affects the integrity of the sport. Role players are often responsible for the outcome of a game. Just look at our history with Dave Bolland.....just to throw a name out there. |

That's my hunch. I mean in a sense who's to blame them?
We're dealing with a global pandemic. Despite this being the information age, science takes awhile. It's not a breaking story, it's been going on for 7 months now. We're learning more every day.
It's difficult to make concrete plans in July when September could change everything. I hope for the players sake they have strong leadership, nobody who would sell them out. |

I imagine Canada, AB and ON have a say in it too. Isn't this essentially the reason the NHL didn't select BC?

Of course they do. From what I know it was the federal government that denied MLB, don't know either way how the ON government felt about it.
I think BC pulled the plug on the NHL before the league did, couldn't have enough control was my understanding.
I mean we are government, all it really takes is public pressure. |

My dad smoked for 70 years. Two packs a day at his height. It’s not a given that it will kill you early. Some of it has to do with genetics. Some are susceptible to it, others aren’t. |

Grandma had no issues with her lungs at 75. In her 80's once she had alzheimers she used to ask if she smoked. We'd take her out for one or two a day. Crazy that it never got her for how much she smoked. |
