All of the above.
Born in Edmonton so Oilers are my 2nd team. Always cheer for them.
Hate Toronto (and their bloggers) so will cheer for whoever they play against.
Hate Pittsburgh (2009) so will cheer for whoever they play against.
If I'm neutral then I probably just cheer for whoever Ek picked to lose, mostly because its fun seeing an "expert" do worse than a monkey flipping a coin. |

Will root for the perennial underdog, The BJ's! Especially against Toronto! If they lose their play-in round, I will root for them to win the draft!
from the west, I hate to admit it, that I favor the Avs. They are just a great team to watch with their brand of hockey. I really like St Louis also. The team, the city sucks! I am hoping Stevie does some more trading with them and gets the same favorable results as the last one! |

I’ll say this for CBJ, they buy in. They lost some important pieces and still manage to be competitive. Nice take! |

Jeremy Laura: Who will you root for, how will you consume? - Jeremy Laura
Rooting for Pitts/Tor/Edm/Tampa, only due to the fact that I don't want them in the mix for Laff. Yikes that would be insane. Otherwise, I am pulling for Winnipeg. I like their team and the fact that they can be successful with a 12.5M Defense roster. That is just impressive. |

I’m rooting for all the underdogs in this tournament. Should be quite interesting. This is going to be like a youth tournament, strong goalie, team with endurance and a crafty coach should make things very exciting. |

This has the ability to be a whirlwind. Not much time to get “locked in”. Teams like Pitt, Chicago, Boston, STL, Wash are “familiar” with that head space. Veterans get a second life in the post season sometimes. But ya, a hot goalie can turn it all on its ear! |

I need to say again how much of a breath of fresh air you are Jeremy after being stuck with Bob Duff for so long. |

Hate Pittsburgh (2009) so will cheer for whoever they play against. Also hate Chicago, but I want both of them to win their first round so they don't receive the first overall draft pick. |

I’ll have to take the Caps.... Over the last couple of years, I’ve liked the way they shaped that team after years of losing in the early rounds. They kind of remind me of the Wings back in the mid-90’s. Regular season champs that couldn’t get it done during the playoffs.
No way I’m rooting for any team in the West, especially the Avs, Blackhawks or Blues. That hate runs too deep to even consider it. Same can be said for Pens and Leafs in the East.
If Mrazek was starting for the Canes I could get behind them a bit but I don’t think they’ll have a chance without elite goaltending for a few rounds.
Let’s get it started and can’t wait for next year. Go Wings. |

Can’t agree more. I think getting the # 1 pick for either would be worse than watching one of them prance around with the cup. |

Will be like Bluto when the Delta's house was raided......hockey will make me say "Thanks. I needed that".
'Canes are my secondary....but that's because I'm 3hrs from Raleigh & go there to see them play the Wings.
Would pay D-Day to work on the Leaf's bus. Avs; Can't say what I think of them in a public forum, same with the Pens.
Suffice to say, hockey is like an elixr from the gods....
But all this does is whet the whistle for the upcoming season..... |

Is anyone else old enough to remember the “test pattern” on tv? On Saturdays you’d just stare at it until your show started. If they had that now I’d have it on. |

Oh man, you’re right! I’m related to more than a few who would, um, Medicate heavily. That snow was their favorite show some nights |
