I really don’t think the islanders defense had much to do with panarin not having a shot on goal in 22 minutes I do think it’s more about the fact that he signed with the rangers for less money. Still stings doesn’t it!

OK Ben..First of all.. thanks for the long write up to start my day this morning. It's appreciated..

so for the most part I agree with a lot of your player evaluations. I definitely think that Beau was great and certainly though Lee was nonexistent. I even agree that Martin played very well and dare I say it looked faster than usual. Especially when he out skated Tony DeAngelo to the puck and drew a penalty on a semi-breakaway... I agree on Cal, Casey and I thought Brassard looked great too. Brock was invisible, Noah played very well and Greene was great. Mayfield and Boychuk were not very good.

Now where we disagree is .. Leddy and Bailey for sure.


JOSH BAILEY: "I thought Bailey was actually quite good",.. I definetely don't agree with that take. ....Josh was friggin maddening. passes when he should shoot as always. Makes horrific decisions in the D-zone that almost cost them the game.. (watch last 2 1/2 minutes of the game). My favorite Josh play was when He and Leddy took each other out on the Ranger's only goal. Bad enough they allow a break away but then to not pick up the trailer was absurd.

I also think Pelech was fantastic. Not sure how you could not think that actually. He is a huge reason that you did not see much of Kreider, Panarin, or Zib.
