I'm still sticking to my upset prediction. I will always bet against EDM until EDM proves me wrong.

If the Pens play like they played the 1st four months of the season, I don't see this being very competitive. If they approach it like they did last year against the Isle...it's a toss up. Kind of hard to know the mindset of the team based on one pre playoff game.

My two keys are Sheary and McCaan. At least they have plausible replacements for Sheary. I don't see many options at 3C if McCaan can't chip in offensively. Need that 3rd line to help out.

I don't think the 3rd line has to be a HUGE factor offensively, but if they can control play they will be effective.

Rod would be my guess. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Blueger line gets more ice time anyways.

3rd line hopefully adds some secondary scoring. Safe bet on Hornqvist's end.

No reason for you to change based on today. Big playoff debut for Kubalik with 5 points.

I don't like Chicago on defense, but they can score, have a ton of successful playoff experience, and Crawford is still good. Type of team that can play spoiler.

The only team they can play spoiler to is the Oilers IMO lol. Chicago can score and like you said Crawford is still good. Their defense is terrible, but so is EDM's. Chicago at least has Keith and that new kid is pretty darn good. EDM is just not a good team from top to bottom and their goaltending is terrible. My prediction was a high scoring foot-race games ending in 5-4/6-5. I should have put money on this.

12 games, 24 goals, 53 points and they were the team's top 3 scorers. Yes Hornqvist actually had more points than Malkin or Kessel that year, but not as much as Sid and Jake with 21 each.

Yeah, but people have been saying the last 100 1st overall picks. Plus, it won't change how bad their defense or goaltending is. They should be making a huge push for Krug and Holtby if they can make it work financially.
