Same thing said about Bert at his age its jut immaturity on JV's part. But when you stick them in the right situations with his talent in bottom 6 against a smothering Wild team his talent would take advantage. Its not like he's going to say playoffs I don't care. Green just made his PK specialist keep the vets in call.

When I saw this line up to start no OJ, JV or ZacMac took the enthusiasm out. What happened to getting the young guys experience. Look at the vets in this game they are taking all the penalties. Pearson has had a crap game too.

Bert was showing himself to be a special player immediately upon joining the Canucks.
JV isn't the dominant force nor has the playmaking ability Bert did. Although they're both "power forwards", their games are totally different.

Bert had hockey sense and a brain, just didn't put it together in the beginning.
With Jake I would question both of those qualities.
