Carol Schram: It's time for the Canucks to bring in the intensity as the playoffs begin
The Stanley Cup Playoffs are underway — well, the qualifying round, anyway. The Vancouver Canucks are healthy and will look to bring the intensity that playoff hockey requires, at a level that's sustainable through the full game and the entire best-of-five series against the Minnesota Wild.
I posted this minutes before the thread turnover. Vantel put his requests in directly to Eklund. I'm assuming he's done:
Last I heard from Vantel, he put two requests in to have his account closed. I see his avatar and user info are gone from his posts. Vantel drives conversation on this board. It's a big loss for Carol and Eklund.
I'm finding it more enjoyable to post Canucks interests elsewhere but I will support Carol through Twitter still. Several of this sites good people past and present can be found elsewhere.
People can blame the Canucks for why this board is bleeding long time users... so why are they as active as ever elsewhere?

it's posts like this that are designed to divide people into camps and then instigate a fight.
hockey has just started back up. let's try to keep it to hockey talk and see how that goes.

I’d say seeing grown men female dog at each other for pages and pages is what’s driving people away.
It seems, to me at least, a bit disingenuous to be concerned about driving good hockey conversation away from the site after just having done that.

Codes was already distancing himself from the main thread before our argument. We had no prior blow outs.
Look, my argument with codes would have been over and done with quickly if a certain group didnt insert themselves in the issue and spend 3 days keeping it hot with attacks 4 on 1 none stop. Codes eventually demanded they stop and it was over instantly...proving my point. He and I would have quickly moved on.

Thanks Carol!! Hope you have a terrific time watching a most extraordinary hockey tournament in Edmonton (and of course, seeing the Canucks win!)
It’s encouraging to see some careful steps back towards normalcy...the NHL is managing this better than I had honestly expected. Hope the quality of play is entertaining as well!

I agree. I was fairly pessimistic at the beginning but watching baseballs raging dumpster fire the NHL looks pretty bloody good. The intensity in the 1st period of the Rangers-Hurricanes game was very encouraging.

If the NHL can actually pull this off I will have to give Bettman and the PA a ton of credit.
