I wasn't talking about the Sabres making the move....I was talking about Marner, Reilly and a 2nd. |

Sorry...but the idea that Reilly is even close to Dahlin is a joke, and of course...the BIG thing...Theres a difference between a center that plays in the dirty areas and a 160lb winger that disappears in the biggest moments.
Lets do it this way....would you trade Marner and Reilly straight up for Eichel and Dahlin??? Damn right you would....and THAT tells you all you need to know about how silly you sound...
Reinhart and Risto are closer to Marner and Reilly than Jack and Dahlin. - ThundernLightning
Ok, I was with you until you said this incredibly stupid thing.
EDIT: Oh. Also the first line is crazy. Dahlin is gonna be incredible but as of right now, Rielly is still better. |

If Jones is half as valuable as you're saying he is, which I don't doubt he is... The idea of suggesting Columbus would ever trade him is silly. |

Engvall's 2 x 1.25 makes me think Mikky gets more. I'm guessing he goes for a 1 year show me deal at around 1.5. - The Law
Yeah. We'll see. It's a minor amount - I was thinking that the cap going flat probably should temper some expectations, but really it's only a 4% adjustment which is immaterial at $1m - $1.5m. Using Engvall as a benchmark is probably a good start. |

not true.
Kerfoot - Kapanen - Johnsson - Nylander. that's approx 16million in caphit. - MaximusAurelius
Yes just dump 4 players outright and replace them with basketballs and marleau. That 100% would have worked. |

Any GM that would trade a correctly priced, true #1 D for an overpaid, prima donna winger that vanished repeatedly in huge moments, should immediately be fired.
Jones?? itd have to be Marner and Reilly. a 2nd line winger and a quality puck moving 2nd pair defense...and maybe a pick - ThundernLightning
No one said trading Jeff Skinner for Seth Jones was doable. They said Marner....
Its hilarious you think Marner is a 2nd line winger. You certainly have a lot of hockey knowledge. |

Because it doesn't come down to the guys on the ice failing. It's all about luck and we sure as poop deserve some good luck. |

if they kept Marleau, then Mitch was gone.
you couldnt sign him. - senstroll
Not true.
Others could have been moved for him.
Had we kept Marleau, sacrifices would have had to been made.
Instead we sacrificed a 1st |

In this poopshow of a season - not overly optimistic.
You know those weeks where the battery goes in the car, and the blower in the furnace stops working and it's a $400 bill to fix it, but it turns out that it's the alternator and the electrical system, and the furnace is dead, and the A/C went with it, and now it's a $13k fix? Then you buy a lottery ticket? You don't win that lottery. |

Anyone thinking cbus is going to move him while he has a great contract for the soft expensive poop we have.
Not gonna happen. |

So if heart isn't the reason for his vanishing act, what is??? Talent??
and again...we are debating whether Marner has enough heart vs. whether he has enough talent...and hes going to get you a perennial Norris candidate.
Fun. |

Well they may have to move him soon enough. You know the panic over every upcoming UFA leaving the Leafs? Well Jones will be expensive and does he want to stay there? 2 years left...
Not many want to be in Columbus it seems. Nash stayed for a ridiculous contract he could not turn down. Very small market and pretty damn dull place to live. |
