There was a decomposing worm on my front step as I drank my morning coffee. That’s what made me think of you. |

Sheldon should post Foligno’s comments on the board tonight.
“What do you think boys, you just a power play team?” |

If the Leafs get out to a lead I can see meltdowns from Tortorella and Flamingo.

From last blog-
"They thrive on the power play," Foligno warned. "They're always looking to try to get calls and that's kind of the engine of their team."
(frank) off. - mjones242
What a (frank)ing goof.
Maybe someone should show him the numbers where the Leafs are dead last in the entire NHL over the past 4 years in power play opportunities.
Clearly the Leafs are GREAT at drawing penalties. |

Also, his trip on Rielly was dangerous and stupid and it’s his fault they lost the game.

With Stamkos out indefinitely & Hedman getting injured last night, the Leafs can mop up Tampa! |

He's just showing he is still salty about losing it for his team.
That doesn't sound like a confident captain to me, more like a whining one looking for excuses for his team and himself for losing. |

Sounds like it could be possible to piss him off and get a penalty or 2 from him. |

He doesn't sound like very good captain material, does he?
When Bautista was the leader of the Jays, I hoped he'd be traded. His constant whining, griping and complaining - I felt - was a reason they didn't achieve more. He instilled that character to the team. They were victims not leaders.
The devil's advocate position here is that a lot of thought usually goes into these decisions. A quick Google reveals this from 2015 when he was selected:
"We had a list of qualifications, if you want to call it that, and Nick's the one that kept checking off the list both on and off the ice," Kekalainen said. "He produces points and sticks up for his teammates; plays hockey the right way. Competes. Plays with a big heart but he also leads us off the ice in the community with saying the right things and knowing when not to say anything."
Different people get fired up in different ways.
So while I agree with you, there may be a method to his mouthiness. |

It is obvious he's still frustrated about losing it for his team, a captain does not create excuses for himself or the team. Like Peter said above, being frustrated like that and letting it get to you will cause poor play and penalties.
It just was not a good look for him as the C of that team. |

That's why I agree with you. If he hasn't calmed down, he will certainly contribute to at least one penalty tonight. He's taken 4 penalties so far in the series, which is twice as many as anyone else on his team. He's a competitor, but just watching you can see that his play has been on the negative side - and that's supported by xGF metrics as well, which are the worst on the team. He's just not getting it done. |

The Laffs may opt for a chance at Laf instead. All they have won in the past 50 years are lotterys, and high draft picks! |
