So how we feeling about this 1/8 chance for the lottery? - TheMussel
With the #1 selection of the entry draft, Toronto Maple Leafs choose..... Off the Board. |

So if heart isn't the reason for his vanishing act, what is??? Talent??
and again...we are debating whether Marner has enough heart vs. whether he has enough talent...and hes going to get you a perennial Norris candidate.
Fun. - ThundernLightning
I'd love to comment on Eichel's heart, but you know the whole 0 playoff games gets in the way..

Sorry...but the idea that Reilly is even close to Dahlin is a joke, and of course...the BIG thing...Theres a difference between a center that plays in the dirty areas and a 160lb winger that disappears in the biggest moments.
Lets do it this way....would you trade Marner and Reilly straight up for Eichel and Dahlin??? Damn right you would....and THAT tells you all you need to know about how silly you sound...
Reinhart and Risto are closer to Marner and Reilly than Jack and Dahlin. - ThundernLightning
Reilly is as valuable to the Leafs as Dahlin is to the Sabres right now.
Would I trade Marner and Reilly for Eichel and Dahlin? Of course I would. What I'm saying is that I wouldn't trade Marner, Reilly and a pick for Seth Jones.
Eichel hasn't even had an opportunity to disappear in big games so you got nothing there. |

His regular season stats are not even that good.
I am confused over the hype he gets.

I'm not arguing with you here. I love MR.
That being said, would I trade him for Dahlin? Absolutely. |

he did his job though, not his fault the team could not score, something they are clearly built to do consistently. |

The blue kookaid is strong, VERY strong today.
We didn't exactly make the playoffs this year btw. |

Thank you. 16 teams make the playoffs. You know like the Islanders who once again had a better regular season and went further than the "talented" Leafs. That Dubas
vision is really working out. That's ok now he can get on to some important social issues. Or maybe make another steal of a trade like getting that stud Barrie. How about another gritty forward like Petan or Malgrin |

lmfaooooooooo 🤣
I wouldn’t want them to win an asterisk cup after all of these decades anyways🤦🏿♂️
these little boyz just needed another year of seasoning 👍
we got good sk8ters with skillz👍
just need more experience and probably more speed 👍🏿
just need to move on from maricon and we’ll win the cup once his contract is up 🤦♂️
oh, the refs fcucked us to🤦🏿♂️
what a fcucking joke 🤦♂️
edit: nice alliteration 👍🏿 |

Do you know what the NHL’s top nine defensive teams in 2019-20 all have in common?
They’re all alive and well in the playoffs. The real ones that start Tuesday. And that group includes the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Do you know what the bottom 10 defensive teams in 2019-20 all have in common?
They’re all eliminated.
.
Pretty illuminating. And how about if Leafs don't waste all those Hutch game points they are never in the position to play Cbus. - dozerD10

If Jones is half as valuable as you're saying he is, which I don't doubt he is... The idea of suggesting Columbus would ever trade him is silly. - joel878
I don't think Jones is as good as guys think. He's good but not a perennial Norris guy. |

As I've said since they picked him up, he's a middle of the pack goalie. You can win with him, but in Anaheim he faced the least high danger chances in the league. He would probably be fine in a place like Columbus where guys know how to defend. |

Well they may have to move him soon enough. You know the panic over every upcoming UFA leaving the Leafs? Well Jones will be expensive and does he want to stay there? 2 years left...
Not many want to be in Columbus it seems. Nash stayed for a ridiculous contract he could not turn down. Very small market and pretty damn dull place to live. - RogerRoeper
Wrong about Columbus, there are a lot of ex-players and current players that live in the City, and it's a great place to raise a family. the CBJ will sign Jones, and when we sign one big time scoring winger and our young forwards grow up Columbus will be a destination.
Why don't you come down to Columbus and see what it is like for yourself?
BTW, I am sorry for you Leaf fans for them losing the series. I knew we would win, but I thought it would only be four games. If you guys could play someone other than Columbus and Boston who are big, very physical, and with top-notch goalies when they play against you the Leafs would have won a lot of playoff series recently. |
