Do they reseed? I thought it’s a fixed bracket and we are playing the winner of the Bruins vs Canes series? - nyisles7

Yes, teams reseed. So it is possible we plan the flyers depending on who advances. |

Prior to the playin series w Fl, I was leaning toward the odds of getting Laff w potential first pick. Now I (and I’m sure everyone else) wants to see this team win. If we can get past Caps, and wins some games in next round to me that’s a step in right direction. Experience for the young guys is priceless. - streaks
Absolutely. We all want to see this team do something now that we’re out of the running for Laff. Team looks great but let’s not forget the best thing that happened for the Islanders in this series was most likely Lee’s hit on Backstrom😂
Not to take away in anyway From how the Islanders are playing because they’re doing an incredible job with the caps but them losing a player like Backstrom makes them a less effective team for sure. |

Probably, but not definitely. Because of re-seeding, the Isles might get the Flyers in the next round. The winner of the Bruins-Canes series might then lose to Tampa. Lots of possibilities.
Right now, I'm just worried about closing out the Caps series. - JohnScammo
Yeah one team at a time and I don’t think there’s any easy way out of the next round after we hopefully(likely) get out of this one... |

Agreed Backstrom is a big loss, but I don’t think his presence changes the current outcome. Maybe it’s 2-1 us, but that’s being generous. Isles are playing fantastic 5v5 which is why we’re up. If only the PP could click we’d be really dangerous. |

Yeah I agree we’re still leading even if he was in imo also and I also agree with your thoughts on the PP. Really need to find a way to deliver on the PP if we want to go far it needs to start clicking. |

If we don’t close it out 4-0, it’ll be 4-1/4-2 at worst. This team can handle a loss or two and Move on. Might actually help them. Truth be told, I don’t care who we play. |

Like I said there’s no easy way out of the next round. Flyers have a good team and we know the deal with the Canes and Bruins. We probably match up better against the Flyers but that wouldn’t be an easy series (if they beat the Canadaians that is). |

I don't think we re-seed this year..I am pretty sure the winner of our series gets the winner of Boston/Carolina |

No it’s re-seed this year for sure. If Flyers and Isles both win their series they play each other next rd |

Not if Columbus wins too as they are a lower seed |
