You want more defenseman that can’t play defense? - Feds91Stammer
See the way I look at it is he's a definite upgrade over JJ and Schultz in every way (if in game shape) and he's def better at D than them. He has to be haha. |

I could get behind that argument if he wasn't already fat and old, and hadn't missed an entire season. |

By playing with the right guy he means someone who can cover up as many of Johnsons blunders as possible. Feel bad for whoever gets paired with Johnson. |

And someone who will cost us nothing and we can bury. Also low-risk/high-reward considering outside of POJ we have nothing.

Well to me there is no incentive for Detroit to take on JJ unless you are adding some top assets in the mix. And Murray is nowhere near that. |

Pairing him with the best 4 other players in the league and best goalie wouldn't cover up for him |

Oh I was just (frank)ing around, but I'd laugh if JJ ended up on Detroit in any capacity. Actually no, I MIGHT actually feel bad for ya. No, it still give me a chuckle. |

So can we work a deal with Minnesota for Suter? I'd do it. He still was eating top pair minutes this year and had 48 points. He's getting older but putting him on the second pair with a young kid who is no passenger. I'd like that and it frees the Wild of one of those big contracts. Work a deal around Murray maybe some picks, obviously sending JJ their way, maybe Bjugstad? Horny? Pettersson? - 668710
I'm on board the Suter train for sure! He would be a fantastic add. Id give up Murray, JJ and Poulin if that could get it done. |

Between him and Nielsen you can see why I have zero interest in another awful contract without a significant piece added in. |

Yeah, but they're also not reaping the benefits of bottom-feeding. Don't get me wrong, there's some very nice prospects, but they aren't getting that big pick. I'll still never understand that decision to pick Seider. |

He was projected to get picked in the middle of the first round. Cozens would have been the better player up next. |
