Ho Sang is a pass first guy which is why he doesn’t score. And no to Poulin or 15OA for Bertuzzi. |

Trade market is closed until the draft, correct? Basically there should not be any big news until then... |

I thought there was something open only to teams not still in the playoffs. I think it was trades? Can anyone confirm this? Maybe there is a gentleman's agreement among GMs not to trade until the playoffs are over? |

I'm with adding a dman from free agency, we gotta get rid of JJ. - 668710
I mean, as anemic as our offense was, we do have alot of depth. and we have alot of money leaving in the offseason, Bjug (4.1)can be moved, shultz (5.5)will be gone, channce murray can be moved (3.75), sheary (3) may not be re-signed . thats 16.35 million that can be moved somewhat easily. at the very least 8.5 with sheary and shultz, which we could directly use towards a big name FA. |

Even if JR is trying to prop up JJ's value, he is doing a pretty bad job of it. Maybe not mention "all of the anti-Jack Johnson people"? I don't know.
At this point JR is a farce. So is Sully. Mario needs to step in. It is now his responsibility as owner. One would think that Burkle can also see a diminishing ROI based largely on these two knuckleheads.
It feels like the same bad movie with the same bad plot lines that has become totally predictable. |

I'm still ok with Sullivan. But, I do agree that Rutherford has been back and forth soooo much with how the team should be built. Almost like he over thinks everything. Over his first year, and the last three years, he can't seem to give us a team with an identity top to bottom. |

Welcome to late stage Rutherford.
With any luck your owner will remove him before he mires you in a decade of being "okay, but not good enough to really compete" while the fanbase whittles away to nothing. |

Does anyone know what's going on with Byfug? If he's healthy and could be had for cheap as a 3RD, that would be nice. |

If Letang isn’t “the right partner” then who the hell is? Do the Penguins need to trade for Victor Hedman? Do they need Cale Makar? Does Ron Burkle need to invest in a time machine to get Erik Karlsson from five years ago? Can we get Nick Lidstrom or Ray Bourque? Who the hell is the right partner?!
Orr / Robinson / Potvin / Neids / that's about it... that could rescue him...
and it's possible JJ might sink even these guys... |

Please tell me you have some inside information. I don't even care what the return is. A 7th, a mildly bad contract like Pateryn, I'll take it! |

Trade JJ and Murray (if he signs an extension for $3 -$3.25M AAV) to Detroit for...... ah, hmmm, Cholowski! |

I'm not looking this gift horse in the mouth, but I don't think Murray takes that money. |

I brought that up a while ago. Just don't know his status. But I'm guessing bad. He's 35 and fat lol. However if he is actually working to get back then he'll yea I'd take him.
Edit: 35.5 years old, I had to lol |

I heard this too, just can't remember who said it. I mean JJ was going their way with Kessel but Phil (frank)ed us. |

If this is true, has there ever been a player in Pens history who has helped us and then subsequently hurt us more than Kessel? |

Yeah, he could be the mean and nasty we need in a less important role, provided he can still defend at an above JJ/Schultz level. Good offensive chops, too. Probably kinda slow regardless of how much he's been working out, though. Might be ok with a partner like Riikola. |
