The league has seen first hand that when you give 1 or 2 guys HUGE contracts for over 10+ mill a year cap hit it seems to hurt the rest of the team. I find it interesting that not one team that is left in the playoffs have a player making 8 figures..

I wouldn’t. I’d take the four 1st rounders and flip a couple of them for a cheaper 1C with term. Someone like Ryan O’Reilly comes to mind.
