“Two league sources have told me that the Coyotes have made St. Louis Blues AGM Bill Armstrong an offer to become their next GM.
Again, I noted on Monday that Armstrong was a leading candidate.
We'll see where it goes on Wednesday.”
Donna will be happy, our home team is finally getting a real NHL General Manager - Pacificgem

Canucks
Flyers
Seahawks
Athletics
Tottenham Hotspur F.C.
Barcelona F.C.
So six in total, “our home team” obviously refers to the fact we own homes in the metro Phoenix area |

How are you planning to navigate that this winter? Canada going to open the border anytime soon? |

Our house is blocks from a few good friends who live there full-time, they’re keeping tabs on it. I haven’t looked into it but we may be able to travel down there as the border is not permanently closed, just to non-essential travel.
I think the smart move is to just stay here for now though with COVID-19 and the November election down there it’s probably best to just sit here and wait it out. |

Yeah, think it might be a little more quiet down here this winter. Think there will be less canadians and other americans that dont end up traveling here for the winter. |

If Benning is still here in two years I’ll definitely be dropping the Canucks and adding Seattle as I have no connection to Vancouver, never having lived there.
Unlike people, such as Vantel, who became Canuck fans when they moved to Vancouver or BC, as an island kid I’ve been one since they came into the league, however, like a bad relationship, sometimes you just have to know when to cut your loses and move on....something you’re probably acutely aware of |

Politics aside, it's kind of crazy to think that in a vacuum, there is a modern democratic country that would be a dangerous place to be immediately following an election because the whole place might go insane with rioting afterwards depending on the result. |

exactly, if Biden is elected - the dems will have no more reason to riot. |

I think they’re close to a tipping point, but I don’t want to start a political debate on a hockey forum. |

I was born in Vancouver, so I hear you. It's been a long haul. I'm pretty well Canuck's & Seahawk's. I do like the Kraken though.

.@KevinisInGoal on Holtby: I think he would love to come West. I don't know what that means for this market. I know Calgary has probably set their sights, if they had a choice, it would probably be Markstrom ahead of everybody else. But those are places I think he would look at

Could you imagine Markstrom as the Flames #1 |

Ray Ferraro said he thinks RFA’s that would normally get qualified, won’t, which could lead to a A) lot of guys seeking employment for sweetheart deals B) lots of guys being left on the sidelines until late in the offseason. |

Benning should try to sign Hughes 7 x 8 years get him out of the way following the Brodin deal.
Lots of RFAs don't deserve qualifying offers.

I've been saying go long term in the range or 8/9 mil for both him and Petey but everyone seems to agree it'll be a bridge deal.
Amazing how Covid has changed things. Brodin is getting 6mil for 7 years as a 28 year old next year, while Spurgeon is getting 7.5 for 7 years as a 31 year old next year |
