Good on JB sticking to budget to get all 3 UFA's signed and have cap to qualify the RFA's. Though he still will have to deal with Ferland and LE. Let's see if they take reasonable term and not test this uncertain budget team market.

That's fine they have been on the trade block all season. But if there are no upgrades there the team isn't set back in keeping them. There is dead weight that needs to go first.

This is quite possible what happens but a cheap skate team like Buffalo may be attracted to some sort of offer especially if Canucks hold back 2 mil . They would get him for free this year and actual dollars of 2 mil for next year and bring them to the cap floor.

That segment from drance was interesting on actual owed salary for the "canuck trade candidates". I think Ottawa around be a prime partner for (if any) trade for cap space. Its a really tough sell for any GM to take LE though IMO.

It is a tough sell but when I see a team like Buffalo fire all their coaches get rid of all their scouts , not pay rookie bonuses and fire all inhouse staff , you know you are looking at a team that is looking for bargains.

I don't care if he stays because it will more than likely be in Utica if there is a season. I trust our ELCs so whatever they do is fine with me.

The 13 teams who are treading water can’t take on all the money from the 17 teams that are struggling.

It is going to be fun to watch it unfold. Every team will have the same issues so there will be a lot of movement.

Ideally, one or two prospects on ELCs could insert themselves as new regulars every year imo. It will be nice when management won't feel the need to extend aging players like Edler and Tanev because their replacements will be ready
