Your Trump tactics are as lame as your trolling.

Was that when you said the Comets were not owned by the Canucks? Excuse me for seeing different that the two leagues are linked and want to find a way to make it work through TV revenue if possible.

However, that said these are very uncertain times and as you keep saying the NHL season is unlikely. So we'll see what they can put together. TV viewership is up and content is down so something may be there. Amazon alone would be a great sponsor along with these food delivery corporations.

From your link: "up 21% from the comparable Monday of last year’s playoffs".

Seems like mixed results for summer time viewing. You need to keep things in context that August is the lowest viewership always with out door activities/vacations and coming off months of being sequestered at home from this pandemic.

The Covid numbers will rise most likely into the fall/winter season and so will restrictions. Don't you think viewership demand will also rise and thus content need?

thats literally one game where viewership was up... i couldve posted the article that said game 3 viewership was down 43% from last years game 3..

i am fully aware of the context but you seem overly optimistic looking at it. the nhl will be directly competing with every other major sport with a larger following than they have. that 43% drop is largely cause by the nfl... if football/basketball/baseball/hockey play on the same day nhl wont get that many eyes on it

On a different note than the recent:

When you look at what Kapanen got in his deal to Pits, you would need to think JV has similar value. Similar point totals with JV getting more goals. His advanced stats are often pretty good as well. He may be how JB plans to get back in to the 1st round.

Perhaps.
I’d prefer he package JV with an anchor contract for a prospect or lower pick.
Give the team cap space for free agents and opens up roster spots for rookies.

The projection for TV need has nothing to do with optimism but the reality that demand will be up when the NHL is looking to restart. This is the most competitive time with all the sports on. Why add that as a factor for later when baseball would be over and NFL in wind down?

What is your point the NHL is dying and TV won't pay much to telecast it? Sounds like an old opinion and yet they keep growing the game. Of course they have to make adjustments in Covid times. Just don't understand how you see that as a down TV market time.

ah yes nfl... that league thats super famous for having very few viewers toward the end of their season. no matter when the nhl restarts they will be in competition with 2 of the 3 other leagues at some point in their season.

never said nhl was dying just pointing out the other leagues are fierce competition and with fewer allowed in the stands those attendees will become viewers. anything the nhl tries will be matched by other leagues to hold onto their own viewers and sponsors. this isnt a golden opportunity imo sponsors will not be adding new sponsorships at the expense of employees

Benning was talking about filling needs by promotion of prospects the other day. If Hogz and OJ are ready, that will be a big boost to the stale ineffective 2nd PP unit. They can drop Alex Leadler off that unit. Entry level contracts much needed... let Stetch walk and promote OJ for sure.

I think the Tryamkin dream is over. Yes, the Canucks need a large bodied mobile D but even if he's brought in for the 6/7 position, will the spoiled brat trade big minutes and better salary in the KHL to be a bubble player in NA? I highly doubt it...

FYI for those wondering: Clubs have until 5 p.m. ET on Oct. 7 to submit Qualifying Offers to their respective RFAs. Which those RFAs can begin signing as of noon ET Oct. 9.

Those Qualifying Offers expire at 5 p.m. ET on Oct. 18.all of which takes on more importance than normal this year because of the flat cap environment and some teams thinking long and hard about certain RFAs and whether they will be qualified or not. If they're not qualified, they become UFAs.
