Adding drama by linking his name to any team is ridiculous. Anyone who knows Dustin knows that he's done playing. He isn't motivated by money as was clearly evident by his willingness to mutually terminate his contract. If he was motivated the jets would have traded him and he'd have kept his salary. - JetsAvs
I agree that he is done playing, but agreeing to the contract termination was basically admitting that he was 100% wrong. |

Another Laine trade idea. A friend of mine suggested it to me yesterday.
To WPG: Tomas Hertl, Timo Meir
To SJ: Patrik Laine, 2020 second round pick - TheUltimateJet
Hertl has a 3-team trade list I believe. After bad-mouthing Wpg a few years a ago, don't imagine the Jets would be on his wish list.
Probably end of any thoughts or negotiation. |

Haven't you traded Laine to every team by now? - BWJumper
I still have the following teams to trade Laine to:
Vancouver
Anaheim
Los Angeles
Edmonton
Arizona
Dallas
St. Louis
Minnesota
Colorado
Nashville
Toronto
Montreal
Pittsburgh
Tampa Bay
Chicago
Ottawa
Vegas
Washington
Florida
Boston
Seattle
New York Islanders
New York Rangers
But you my friend have given me an interesting idea. I will create the best case trade scenarios for Laine with every team in the NHL. I will even go in alphabetical order. |

I’m excited for Colorado, Washington (if they re-sign Kovy, they have all 3 stages of sniper), and Seattle |

I think you should consider the following; or at least I would not rule these teams out on top of those already discussed;
Anaheim
LA
Tampa
Vegas

Potential Laine trade to Anaheim.
To ANH: Patrik Laine
To WPG: Hampus Lindholm, Trevor Zegras, #27OA pick
What do you make of that Ross77?
I will do Arizona next. |

Don't see Anaheim trading Zegras.
Chevy needs to sign Laine long term and put all this trade talk to an end. |

Would you take 2nd overall from the kings straight up for Laine? |

I don't know. Laine is a proven commodity, Byfield, Stuztsle, Drysdale, Rossi are not. I would think we need a bit more to get it done. |

UJ, basically do the same as you (just for fun) in that I make up possible Jet deals for each other NHL team.
In this case much the same as you, except I had R. Rakell included, and Niku and Stanley from the Jets.
But actually like your offer better, but doubt there is a deal to be done with the Ducks. There are better options out there IMO. |

I think the majority of Jets fans would have no idea who Sean Walker is. Much like many did not know who Pionk was. I think he would make a decent second/third pair option.
It's an intriguing offer on your part. |

I think too many people take these boards too seriously. The best part about being on the Buzz is to be imaginative. |

I agree Coyotes don't have much in the way of offering us. It's the best I can do with their roster. |

Regardless those Arizona pieces aren't worth all that, wouldn't trade Laine alone for that nevermind adding the 10th overall pick and Roslovic. |

Your ANA deal was ok UJ. But this one has a lot to be desired. It should have Chychrun, their top 2 prospects Hayton, Soderstrom and Wheeler convincing his buddy Kessel to come to Winnipeg for AZ salary dump. |
