The guy was ranked 11th in concensus rankings. He got picked 8th. Ooohhh noes! He's a 6' sniper instead of a diminutive center. Seems like a preference thing. Could be a good player, could be a bust, and anyone pretending they know which is full of bull poop.

As usual, this board is full of clowns who don't understand drafting. Either Quinn will be a good player in which case if they redrafted he would go higher than 8th, or else he will be a bad pick who wouldn't even get taken in a redraft three years from now. 8th or 11th or 14th
makes no difference. Obsessing because a guy gets drafted over another guy and 98% of you never watched either play a game. Sigh.

This whole culture of mock drafts and draft experts is illogical and ridiculous.

Quinn gives me TJ Oshie vibes which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but I think we left some higher potential forwards on the board there

I disagree, I think he'll be a much stronger player than Oshie. But time will tell! What's done is done and we might as well go all in on our shiny new toy.

Sabres have made plenty of 'solid' picks according to the experts at or near 8th. Mittelstadt, Risto, Myers, Reinhart, etc.

If only they had picked Draisytl ahead of where he 'should' have been picked. Or had the brains to take McAvoy at 8th instead of Nylander who was a great 8th overall pick supposedly. Mitts went 8th, Joker 29th in the same draft. Which is better?

Get the point? It's only a bad pick because the mock drafts say so. And in two years no one ever goes back to check which prognosticators were right, they're onto the 2022 draft. The mock draft system is broken and pointless.

The guy scored 50 goals which is very rare in that league. I'll take that over some talking heads opinion

If he plays center that means he is a 3C assuming Cozens is 2C...id prefer to have a top 6 guy
