The point is multiple bodies may need to go. Stamkos may or may not end up being one of them, but he doesnβt appear to be exempt from that consideration, as Vasilevskiy, Hedman, Kucherov and Point are. Complicating things is so many teams trying to shed Money bag. Interesting week.
It seems to be a good time to have cap space if they are like the Sabres and if they play their cards right. |

Stamkos salary this year: $1M.
Stammos salary the final 3 years after that: $7.5M, $6.5M, $6.5M.
Tampa will ask a ton for him though. |

Why not go Jack Quinn, pull a Stevie Y and do the unexpected. - SABRES 89
Because there will be better prospects available at 8. |

Thanks for bringing that up. I'd love to know how many of Sam's goals were the exquisite tip-ins. I know, all goals count but damn Risto can stand in front of the net and if he had the same hand-eye coordination you would all love him too. - GilPerreault11
But Ristolainen doesn't, and his hockey IQ is poop too. |

Yes sir.
Mentioned that the other day. Penalties on the offence are down sharply this year.
Couple that with no crowd noise makes it extremely difficult on the defence. - Pegullaville
I like that the NFL knows and understands to go all in on offense, yet the NHL has nary a clue in that regard. |

Ralph plays a defensive system based on the personnel they had last year. When you have only one line with one top line player, and two 2nd line players, and a 9 million dollar player on the second line with a few 3rd liners you have to play to keep the puck out instead of end to end.
If they get some more talent I'm sure the system changes. - GilPerreault11
What makes you sure of that? |

No, it's more than his position that is just my rationale as to when people say I don't get why people like VO and don't like Sam. Now, when you are digging in the 7th round and you usually get crap and you get a little bit of gold that is the difference than when you are at 2nd overall and you are going through Tiffany's and you end up with glass and not a diamond.
Now, with regard to Sam I have never liked him and I still do not understand why fans like his play as a Sabre. On once in a while, off a lot and does not create his own chances. I knew he was who he was before the Sabres drafted him and he is a 2nd line player boosted by a superstar. I just hope this new contract is not untradeable as Skinner's is. - GilPerreault11
Alternative way to look at it: Reinhart has outperformed his salary the past 5 seasons. Olofsson did this past season.
Will they each going forward?
That same question applies to both players, regardless of where they were drafted.
Olofsson at $5M per is just as much of a question as Reinhart at $7M per in terms of producing to the level of their salary. |

Will you two please just STFU about it
Both need to stop taking it personal and Hank Fitz can post here if he wants as long as it isn't offensive or anything which I am sure if it is the mods will ban him
Omg someone didn't follow through on a internet bet the world is ending
Read it again, you will see how pathetic it is
Have a nice day

Wonder how many trades will be made, and what the biggest trade will be
Bet the NHL will want it all quiet so they can announce it at the draft
Tampa will find a easy way out of their problems, will trade Johnson and get a good return and sergachev. Cerelli and others will take sweetheart deals
Biggest riser in the draft?
Biggest surprise?
Who falls the most?
Biggest steal?
Anyone teams should stay away from?
What are their body fat % |

But how many more should sam have?
Eichel gifts goals. Sam is not a finisher. Or are we pretending he's a goal mouth presence now too?
He scoots in front, but why is risto on the pp if sam is so good in front? - Boss34
Hope youβre doing well Boss

Why will Tampa get a good return, with Johnson's contract and his descending production the past few seasons? |
