I love what I've read about him.
Shot, can score from anywhere and in a variety of ways (wrist, backhand, snap), hockey IQ, competitiveness, can play all three forward positions in a pinch, can kill penalties, has that "underdog" mentality (little chip on his shoulder), "best goal scorer in the draft".

Find Scott Wheelers athletic write up if you haven't yet. It's what convinced me that the Sabres would pick him |

I brought him up 4 months ago and said the Sabres should draft him, why isn't he ranked higher? - GilPerreault11
Cause he was essentially an overager this year and played on a stacked Ottawa 67’s dream.
I honestly hope I’m wrong, I really do. I’d be more then happy to be chirped for this for the next decade because the Sabres will be a good hockey team, I just can’t see how this guy is a top 10 pick I really don’t. |

you guys (speaking generally) are so cynical.i think its 10 years of hell the fanbase is going through
give it a little while, Quinn could turn out to be a heck of a player. |

And Matthews was discussed like him and Jack would be a toss up if he was born earlier. |

I brought him up 4 months ago and said the Sabres should draft him, why isn't he ranked higher? - GilPerreault11
Because he is relatively old, 4 days removed from last years draft.
He has had 1 good year, and it came from virtually nothing last year.
Could he be great...sure, so could Nylander.
Is it a question mark...yes, for sure.
I wish him the very best though and hope it works out. |

Because his last name isn't Rossi.. I'll give Adams the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully he knows better then the last 2 GM's |

The pundits did make good points and ones I have been stating for years, the Sabres need better wings to play with Eichel and now Cozens even though I love centers. - GilPerreault11
They really need to hit on a later round center for 3rd line future.
Hopefully he is what they say about him. Also hopefully Casey can be an nhl winger too. |

So he's supposed to do it alone, and if he didn't he's no good?
Hopefully this kid is riding shotgun for Jack for the next decade in 1 to 2 years. |

I hope so too.
Hopefully he’s just a late bloomer and the best is yet to come. |

I’m curious if at his age will he be ready for nhl? I’m guessing no but just curious. I see he is kind of skinny though |

the screw job of the draft was the red wings. they could of had Sanderson or Askarov. instead they pick another winger when they lack a #1C, D and G. |
